Excelsior--- What states work with program?

Ok...I have looked at the sticky and did the search, so maybe someone can answer this, what states are accepting Excelsior's LPN-RN program? Don't need counseling advice about online schools and such, just what states accept this program. If there is already a thread then sorry. Thank you and have a nice day.:)

Any updates? Where you able to do everything you said? I also live in florida and want to get into the Exerslior LPN-RN bridge but I'm concerned about what it says on their website (you have to work out of Florida for about two years as an RN)

FLORIDA:

Direct Licensure: Graduates who were LPN’s at the time of admission and had integrated theory and clinical in their LPN program are eligible for licensure by examination.

Endorsement: Graduates who were not LPNs at the time of admission may endorse in after completing two years of active practice as a registered nurse in another state or in a federal facility in Florida.

Florida BON allows LPNs who are in the Excelsior College RN Bridge program to take the NCLEX exam in Florida and get licensed right in FL. However, NON-LPNs in the Bridge program, that is, Respiratory Therapists etc, will have to take the NCLEX exam and get licensed in another state that allows, then endorse it to Florida after getting the 2 years of experience.

A lot of this information is outdated. As of 1 July 2010 Excelsior College is totally accepted by Florida BON, just as any other school in the state. I mailed my application to the BON on 2 July and on the 15th I had my ATT I tested in August and had my license a few days later. OH! I did the Medic to RN route, as I am not an LPN.

I hope this clears a few things up for y'all.

Washington state does, however YOU are suppose to do 200 clinical hours preceptorship (I believe this is if you are not an LPN already).

Oregon state works wonderfully with EC!

You need to contact your state Board to find out what their current policy toward Excelsior is.

Anyone know anything about Pennsylvania? Ive tried looking at the PA state Board of nursing online and cant find anything... pleaseee help! Also, to the lady who mentioned NC nursing license, did you have to drive to NC to sit for their exam? (probably a stupid question lol but thats what I may have to do too then!)

There have been some PA grads lately -- I think you're good. You don't have to drive to NC to take boards for that state ... you just need to submit whatever NC needs for their application for licensure by exam, and then test at any Pearson VUE Professional Center once your ATT (authorization to test) for the NCLEX is sent to you by Pearson after the state BON's go-ahead.

I don't know about that BON, but I do know that you can sit for any states NCLEX exam right wherever there is a Pearson in the entire US.
