Hello,

I will be taking my A & P excelsior exam tomorrow. I haven't been doing great on my practice exams (only a little more than 50%) so I am nervous I won't get the "C" I need. I know the test is curved so I was wondering what you guys were getting number wise on your practice tests vs what you got on the actual test letter wise. Just want to calm my nerves.. Hoping there is like 30% curve LOL :)

I got 44% on my first practice test, found my weaknesses which was the whole subject.

Then, studied alot and got upper 60's to 70% on the other practice tests I took and retook.

Ended up with a C for the class.

I got a 64 on form A after studying. I reviewed and only went up to a 69. I got an A on the exam. I am a good test taker though.

I'll be following this thread this because I'm having some difficulty deciding whether to take A&P through Edukan (which many of ya'll have taken and recommend but seems a little pricey) or self study out of the Content Guide. I've been a Paramedic for 26 years and feel that I have a very good foundation in A&P so I'm a little hesitant about spending @$1000 to Edukan only to find out that it offered no challenge as opposed to self study only to find out that I totally blew the exam!!!! I guess the best approach would be to download the Content Guide and see how comfortable I am with the material before making a decision. Anyone else have the same issues????

I feel like I always do poorly on practice tests but then end up getting A's on my actual tests! Took micro practice test few days before my actual test got a 58 and 60 and then an A on the actual test. Go figure.

I've been an LPN on a cardiac floor for 15 years and I too have a good foundation in A&P, but this exam was not one I wanted to tackle. I already had A&P I from my CC, so I only needed A&P II. I did mine through Straighterline and got it done in less than a week, four days to be exact. It was only 139.00 total and the course consists of 14 exams total with a midterm and final. I am also an LPN and going through excelsior. I am currently studying for A&P so i cant tell you about the test but i got a 69% on social gerontology pretest but an A on the actual exam if that helps. Missingmyerica just curious what is straightline?

straighterline is a company that provides ace approved courses that equate to credit at awesome colleges like Excelsior. I suggest googling it!!! I am going to use straighterline for my A&P since I won't get transcripts quick enough to make my goal graduation deadline.

I wish they offered MICRO...
