anyone know a good psych book for nclex-rn questions?

i am studying for my ec exam for psych nursing, and the cd i used for peds, and medsurg, does not have many psych questions, only 200 (that is the saunders comprehensive review cd).

is there another book that has a lot of questions on psych that anyone knows about??

Pearson has a really good Nclex book called Nclex exam cram. I have it and use it to study, but have heard from others that it really helped them to pass the boards.

Depending on when you test and when this book is actually published, this might be a good choice: Amazon.com: NCLEX-RN Psychiatric Nursing Made Incredibly Easy! (Incredibly Easy! Series) (9781451108170): Lippincott: Books. Doesn't look like it's out yet, but it's probably along the lines of what you need. It has a July 1 release date, so I imagine it'll be available soon.

Or there's this one: Amazon.com: Delmar -- there are used ones for only $4. It's a little older, but might still work.

yes, I scheduled my test, it's in 2 weeks, so I gotta study for it now. I will get that psych nursing incredibly easy book, I was actually looking at that book. Thanks for that, I will get that book at the store now.

I can't beleive saunder's only comes with 200Q!

If I don't pass this test, I can't go on to fall term! yikes! and God willing in December I graduate!

I would of have graduated sooner but I kept putting off these EC exams for me being a chicken!

I used one of the subject review books that was out at the time. I don't even know if they still produce it. Look in the nursing section of any major bookstore and see if they have some of the separate subject books, for med surg, psych, peds, etc.

Mlak,I took Kaplan online review. Basically what I did was follow there advise. I took all my practice exams that they offered and I reviewed questions that I did not know. I definitely had to do some research. I think Kaplan over prepares. Their questions were harder than the nclex itself.. But I know I would not have passed without Kaplan.. Use any resources you can. I had a family member in the hospital while I was trying to prepare for this. The nurses knew that I had to take it, so they were always offering me information and showing me different equipment.I hope this helps.. Best of luck to you!!
