That is awesome. I am also looking forward to hearing about your experience with Excelsior College. Congratulations!

My experience with Excelsior was a good one. I took me two years to complete the program (had to take time off due to family illness). CPNE was done in Racine. It was stressful but manageable. I felt prepared to take the NCLEX after using learninext.com, Saunders review and Kaplan 2010 review. All in all it was a positive experience. The only issue I had was that the NCLEX advising team never stamped my photo for my NCLEX application (as required by my state) and it had to be sent to them again, all this occuring during the holidays and my application was delayed for a couple of weeks. The are "looking into resolving the issue" as I know one other person it has happened to. Good luck with your studies!!

That's great erlissy! DO you mind me asking how many credits you went into Excelsior with? Just curious. I'm in a horrid LPN program and want to make the switch once I obtain my LPN license. I don't know how long I should expect Excelsior to take me if I do it on a full-time basis. I would most likely not work...and if I did..it would be maybe 15-20 hours per week.

Also...this scary CPNE I keep hearing of...what do you feel made it so stressful? Is the CPNE a whole day thing?

It's a 2.5-day thing. Here's a description I posted of it a while back:

It's basic stuff, but very stressful. Some students have decided to NOT do EC's program based on the nature of the CPNE; students only have 3 chances to pass it, and at $2K per try, that can be daunting.

Thank You Lunah! Absolutely. I really appreciate this help. I feel like I'm wandering through a forest trying to find another RN program lol ;). Thanks
