You will find people on here that don't like TCN ,because you can buy thier stuff on Ebay, but you do what works for you and don't worry about what anyone else says.Leo2:)
  3. I called the board, they were very helpful, very picky but helpful. They wanted to know exactly what my LPN clinicals were had to come directly from the school, and the hospital I had worked at had to verify #of hours worked. They want to make sure you had clinicals in peds, Ob, psych. Leo2
  4. I'am an EC grad from Ga. I took boards for Ga. I didn't need to do preceptor hours because I was enrolled before July 2008 but I had to provide proof of acute care exp. they even wanted to know about my LPN program and I was an LPN 24 years. You may be able to skip the preceptor hours but they will ask for details. Leo2

  10. Yes,you pay them to help you,you then pay EC to take the test, you will have to enroll in EC to take the nursing exams and actually get the collage credits. You can do LPN to BSN thru. university of Pheonix. You can get study materials any where use EC study guide for each exam it will give you an outline of what to study.
  11. No that one had taken at my local CC. years ago when I tried to go the trad. route. You can get a course outline for all of EC exams.I took everything else thru. them, not sure if its essay or not? good luck
  12. They help you prepare for test, you would have to enroll in Excelsior College to take the test and get your credit and earn your degree.
  13. No I would study 2-3 months for each one. I wish I was that smart. Leo2
  14. I went thru. Excelsior I took all my gen. ed. thru them but you can do them at your local cc. then transfer your credits.I did one course at a time but do as many as you can handle you will get done faster. make sure your state BON will accept them some states won't. I spent 2-3 months on mine because I didn't want to repeat it is alot of money.I did all the gen. ed. first then the nursing. good luck Leo2 :)
