hello fellow Phil. nurses...and maybe to other nationalities who read this...

I am just sooooo disapponted with my U.S quest....

I have exhausted all my efforts and money and time....just to bring my future to the U.S. of A....I am now wondering...why ? oh why?:bluecry1:

Come to think of it..maybe God has His way of telling me...I am not for the U.S. BECAUSEI have passed NCLEX, IELTS, CGFNS, have a visa screen and have received a requested CES... Paid so hard for all these. My everyday prayers has always been a retro lift and a faster movement of papers...It has been three years now... I want to say this now...

THere are a lot of countries, safer and much livable than U.S. that needs my services...can anyone else say ....the same thing too? Lets go !!!! anyone there who agrees with me?? just let me be aware...thats all...

oh well,,,, thats my own opinion... and to think of it my husband is a year younger than me... im 23 and his 22...

Thats her own way what she would do.. so dont ever say that im only after a visa.. My husband is my first boyfriend and eventually we got married...

Thats why your nurses.. you follow doctors order's...taking one word on your throat and shallow it down without thinking...

I posted some forum on this before..... I eventually get tired because everyone is dictating what u should do.. it seems like your not helping someone they want to ask for.....

This person who posted this wants to be in the US due to this visa problems she cant.. so her only way to come and work her is to get married or petitioned by immediate family...

So dont say anything im making immigration fraud cause I got married cause of love not money... I'm not the typical filipina eating old man's chest.....

How can helping someone by saying they get married is helping them? If they get married it should be for the right reasons not just to get a visa for the US. That is all we are saying. If someone really wants to go to the US and work they should be prepared to wait in the queue, do further training to increase their nursing experience and job opportunities. We are not saying don't do it just be aware of the waiting times and obstacles that are currently in use and don't look at ways to jump the queue. That isn't fair on everyone waiting

I am not familiar with the phrase, "eating old man's chest" could you explain?

As a person who has been married for over 32 years I can tell you it is hard work. I got married young ( age 21). No job is worth selling your soul to a person who you don't love. It sounds like you got married for the right reasons. You can understand the concern about telling people to get married to come to the USA.

yeah i would suggest try other countries, because you should not put your life on hold while waiting for them to process your papers ... i have a lot of friends, and old calssmates that passed NCLEX 2006, until now they are still in the philippines waiting and waiting ... and it is also true, there might be a depression here in US, a lot of people losing thier jobs, losing their homes ... it's just crazy times right now in US ...

try other countries ... im sure it will be better than nothing, right?

Maybe that's how nursing is in the Philippines, but here in the US nurses are taught "critical thinking." Believe me, I have questioned many doctor's orders! It's my responsibility to advocate for my patients, and if an order is not appropriate, you better believe I am going to ask the doctor about it before carrying it out. It's kind of scary if you are being taught to mindlessly follow orders "without thinking!"

Some stupid immature filipina come to america... and marry old nasty white man.. I only say a different term because i wanna i dont wanna use vulgar words...

Its common here american guy looking for a wife.. .and a friend of a friend of his friend has a friend whose single or has strings attached wants to get out of life...

There are 50 states remember that.. and u have city and county's... yes its true in the US some hospitals are shutting down and freezing jobs... but dont count it as a whole there are still lots of hiring..

Like i Told you if you know craigslist, carrierbuilder, employments.com

You'll see all this medical jobs... type in your zipcode and see lots of jobs...

But you dont get as much as a Rn does... There hiring cause of older generation on nursing homes, hospice... needs healthcare people...

Dont take one word to make it as a whole... You have a a degree act smart...

If this person can marry an american... and get his greencard she can work... A lot of americans like filipina.. Filipinas are assets to them...

To tell you if they hire foreigner or immigrant or disabiled person.. You have good chance of hiring.. because the companies get tax credit from the government..

they're hire foreigner more cause there credible... Foreigners have great chance when there in the country...

I HOPE YOU ALL KNOW THAT>>>>

The fact that US Hospitals are still coming to the Philippines to headhunt and hire.

The fact that US healtcare networks have increased number demands from staffing agencies operating here in the Philippines.

The fact that since hospitals are paying less for nurses, they are more willing to hire nurses which are already NCLEX passers and from outside the USA than hiring American-based nurses.

Hate it all you want, but these facts remain; if you want to have jobs go to Americans first you'll have to lobby the hospitals in the USA, not fuss at young men and women who want to be able to provide for their families just as much as anyone else does.

I see that there aren't any facts in your post....and that's ok when you're misinformed...Most big hospitals in the US have hiring freezes which means that they're not hiring ANYBODY at the moment....Maybe they're recruting in places like Beeville Texas, Bent fork Tennessee, Mayberry North Carolina, Marble City Oklahoma, and other places out in the middle of nowhere where nobody wants to live...But in places like San Diego, San Jose Bay Area, Los Angeles Metro Area etc etc, it's not happening....They all have hiring freezes...and thank God for the Unions that are so strong that they wont allow any foreign recruiting to happen at this time with the economy the way it is...Maybe in the far future when the economy is more stable when foreign nurses will be needed...As of right now, it's not going to happen....That's a fact.

Don't get married just to get a ticket to the US....Karma will bite you in the butt if you do so...The longer that karma takes, the more severe the punishment will be....As Aimee has stated she married out of love....But being that she is young and has only had one boyfriend, she has soooooooooo much to learn regarding love and relationships....I don't doubt that she married out of love....I'm sure that she did, but to even suggest to someone to get married just to get a visa is just plain wrong and deceitful...But people will do what they want to do whether it's for the right reasons or not....if you get caught, then don't complain, just accept the consequences and deal.

There is no immigration fraud if you guys are married legally....

We are not dictating what she should do.. w'e're giving here options... to think that there are lots of options coming to the US...

There is nothing wrong with giving this person options and what to do...

You guys shouldnt be dictating and telling her this is right way and right path... The decision is in her hands...

Nobody is saying that a Filipina cannot or should not marry an American. I'm an American married to a Filipina after all. What we are saying is that your recommendations are dangerously close to promoting immigration fraud because you are implying that a Filipina nurse should marry an American so she can get into the USA and work.

That is an abuse of the system, an abuse of the institution of marriage and is defined as immegration fraud.

People who do this are the reason it is such a hassle for me to get my wife a green card so we can move back to the USA.

If you are getting married then get married without an agenda; after all if you're a foreign educated nurse then you still have to deal with the same hiring problems as anyone else and will not be considered on equal footing with a USA educated nurse especially if you have no clinical experience.

Petitioning by immediate family actually is taking about 15 years plus, it most definitely is not a fast thing.

It does not matter what you do with your own life, but when you come to a site like this and repeatedly recommend that someone find an American to marry so that they can come to the US, that is immigration fraud pure and simple.

And if you are married, why are you in one country and your husband is in another? You brought up thwe topic, and funny thing is that it is mainly other Filipinos that have made the comments to you.

You still are not in the US and applying for work or getting hired. Big difference in seeing that a facility is hiring, or taking a nurse from another country without experience and that is the point that we are actually trying to make to you.

There are 50 states remember that.. and u have city and county's... yes its true in the US some hospitals are shutting down and freezing jobs... but dont count it as a whole there are still lots of hiring..

Go ahead. Apply to those sites. Did you know that many places post job listings on those sites that do not exist just to get database information?

Did you know that a hospital with ONE open position may post as many as 15 slots to be able to get a lot of applicants and pick the best one?

Online job listings are NEVER a good source to be able to tell whether or not the job market is healthy.

Dont take one word to make it as a whole... You have a a degree act smart...

You have a degree, act smart.

DO NOT MARRY JUST FOR A GREEN CARD!!!!!!!!

You are promoting immigration fraud after so many people have told you to stop. It is unhealthy and it irritates me because people with this attitude are the reason my wife and I have to go through so many hoops to get her immigrant status.

The irony? She never wanted to go to the States until after we met and married.... heh.. you should see her diary...
