Thank you so much for sharing this article. I read it. Know it all too well. Then read the copyright. The article is almost 3 years old. Nothing changed. Every bit of it as relevant today as it was 3 years ago. Nurses, we have a long hard road ahead of us.

Wow. All the frustration of nursing seems to spring up in me as I read this article. Reminds me of those NEAT patients with FMP syndrome. (Fluff My Pillow Syndrome for the novice.) One of the things I Love to hear from a petulant and demanding patient is, "I PAY you to wait on me!!!" I very pleasantly ask them to bring back their hospital bill after discharge and show me where "nursing" costs are billed, and I'LL REFUND THEM. NURSING IS GENERALLY NOT PART OF THE MEDICAL COST BREAKDOWN. TIME FOR A CHANGE?
