Do I have to take NCLEX in Canada to be able to work there even if I'm US NCLEX Passer?

I've never heard of a Canadian NCLEX. I think it's called Canadian Registered Nurse Exam.

And yes, you must be licensed in the country in which you're working. Two separate countries - two separate sets of rules, regulations and licensure requirements.

Look at it this way: would you expect that an Australian nurse could move to the U.S. and just start working with an Australian license?

Just what Roser said, but I'll also add that we have a Canadian Nursing forum here on AN; go to the World tab at the top of the webpage, and click that....then follow from there. I'm sure you'll find all the info you need.

The CRNE is being replaced by NCLEX.

Starts next year.

Each province has it's own requirements. You still have to meet Canadian immigration requirements.

Minimum entry for RN is a degree in Canada. Overseas applicants will still have to pass provincial requirements to work here.

I want to know what is a "USRN" that I see so many posters claiming to be. Does that mean they are oversea educated nurses who have passed the NCLEX, are they nurses educated in the US?

In Ontario if you didn't apply for a license before 9/19/2014 you need to retake the NCLEX. Per the CNO website. If you applied before. 9/19 you will have fulfilled the exam requirement only. You still need to meet the education, practice. & residency requirements
