Hi fellow Filipino nurses!

I just started working as staff nurse at the medical city. i just like to ask for your tips/advice if it would be better if i apply or register for a BP in australia as early as now? i'm also quite confused on how should i start my career plan working in Australia after gaining clinical experience here in the philippines..

thanks much and God bless

I think you have to gain atleast a year or two years of hospital experience before applying for bp.

Re-call: Anyone for IHNA January intake in Melbourne here?

hi! i also had the same dilemma.i received my ahpra letter when i started working as a staff nurse in a general tertiary hosp in manila. i realized that its better to start doing your application as early as now because they said that the situation in Au is not that easy as before. i immediately asked for a cert of employment, they were all skeptical why i was asking for it,when in fact It was only my 2nd wk. i told them that it was just for my credt card applic .i then omitted the 'reason' photocpied it and had it certified. Just think of it, by the time you processed you papers, received your letter, offered a school seat, you already have more than 10 months of hosp exp in your shoulders.hope this helps :)

How long did you have to wait for your visa to be processed? What health insurance did you choose? Package? Did you finished the online course? :) im in for ihna melbourne feb intake :) too bad we wont be classmates.

Thank you guys for answering my query. Well in my case i think i should apply for BP by next year and take IELTS first. I find this forum really helpful. Every dog has his own day, so might as well wait for my turn and God's will.

Keep in touch! This is my FB account you may add me as a friend here: [email protected]

thanks and blessings abound!

By the way pinkmarjattheER,

I think I am still about 30% of the online course.. haha.. Still workin' on it..

So while I am working now in the Hospital, I can apply for BP already? Usually how many months is the process for Ahpra BP? Thanks

I'm from Bohol. I'm almost done with my immunizations. Try to ask your pedia MD, I took all the required from my pedia. Have you lodged your visa application already? I still am not sure yet as to where will I be staying, it still needs to be finalized once I get my visa, hopefully with His help from above.

I just finished my immunizations today. I already received my visa as well. It only took a week before my visa was approved. Also, La Trobe emailed me that there is an increase in their TF. Now its 10,500. Anyhow, can you inform me or share some info on any lodgings if you know any? Im a little bit uneasy on that. :) thanks!
