Ex- Saudi Filipino nurse applying for NMC-UK

Hi there!

I just want to ask somebody here who has experience in processing for the NMC-UK with a previous experience in Saudi Arabia. Herewith are the requirements for an ex-saudi nurse to comply. Please do correct me if there are any mistakes or errors.

1 . Final EXIT Visa in ENGLISH

2. Police Clearance from Saudi Arabia - translated and stamped by the Chamber of Commerce

3. NMC FORMS - License verification from SCFHS to NMC ( to be filled up and sent )

4. Employment certificate from Saudi

- needs to have details of sick leave

-reference letter from employer less than six months with official stamp

5. Good Standing Certificate - less than six months

6. SCFHS Certification ( Gray Colored Certificate) copy in with english translation

7. Copy of SCFHS card

I know these are a lot but I just wanted to clarify on how do I obtain these especially that it has been a year since I worked from the hospital. Is it necessary to have these forms completed? thanks for the help.

TIPS and advice are very much needed. Thank you

I know it can get overwhelming. But just take one step at a time.

For the RAV, SCFHS Riyadh actually filled up my form and sent it to NMC. All you have to do now is print your RAV for SCFHS and send it with good standing. No need to explain. NMC is aware of this already. Don't mix up your RAV for PRC and SCFHS.

For the exit stamp, I only explained it in email where I attached the translated document. Just like how I explained earlier.

Thank you so much, PinVE. By the way, do you happen to know about the MEMO from scfhs stating that they no longer process the RAV and issue a certificate of good standing instead?

I didn't have to explain for saudi council because they accomplished my RAV.

I had my police clearance and saudi council certificate translated in Riyadh. I don't remember the cost anymore. But for my exit stamp I paid 2800 php for translation with the certification that they are legitimate company. I just sent an email. They said 3-5 working days but I received a scanned copy via email the following day. Then the hard copy via courier after two days. The company is Orange Translations.

Hi, PinVE. I also let orange translations translate my arabic papers. Did you ask for a declaration from them? or is the certification already the declaration that NMC asked us to submit?

- Final exit visa is a separate paper. My employer gave it to me days before my flight. I think it is also called as the "muqeem" paper, if I'm not mistaken. If you don't have that final exit visa document, I think it's fine. You can just use the 'exit stamp' on your passport instead. And regarding the NOC from your COE, maybe you can have that in support of your Saudi papers, just write or explain everything in the letter.

2. And speaking of letter, I had it written in a formal way (like the business or cover letter type) and on a separate sheet. I just wrote, "to whom this may concern" and really explained a lot, haha, and attached relevant documents in support why my NMC form is blank. All my attached document were photocopies

3. Mine wasn't notarized when I sent it. Though some would really advise you to have those documents be notarized, just to be sure. But since I was really rushing (and excited) to send all my documents to NMC, I wasn't able to do it. I just thank God, my assessor didn't mind that. Everything also depends on your assessor if he/she would require you. But just to be sure, just have them notarized.

I could send you a copy of the letter I made, I sent you PM as well. I put my details there. We could keep in touch. :)

And you're welcome always :)

God bless.

Hello, jinaa. I'm also an ex-saudi nurse and currently on the process of completing my requirements for nmc. I am also in need of your help regarding the explanation letter for the RAV and police clearance. Please help. I really don't know how to start my explanation letter.

here's my email address: [email protected]

Thank you so much and congratulations on receiving your DL.:)

Hi desireejoy. Yes, the attached certification is what I sent along with the translated and copy of arabic document.

Hi Miss Jinaa. I have the same query. Can you send me a sample letter you wrote to support the blank forms? Thank you in advance. God bless you

Hi guys. Does anyone have any idea if NMC would allow for me not to declare or use my saudi experience in my application? I worked in saudi for 2 years and came home on 2012. I then pursued a non-nursing job for 3 years and started working again as nurse here in PH since last year. So now I have the 12 mos exp that they require. Im thinking of not including my saudi experience so that I wont have to submit the saudi docs to nmc. Would that be possible? TIA.

Hi.. I am not particularly sure but it is best to be honest all the time. Your records will be shown in your passports and other else, especially that the Saudi government has adapted the electronic iqama and we have electronic passports. So there might be a chance that you might have a problem.

Hi there, I am an ex-saudi too, and i just recently passed the CBT so i am in the assessment stage too. I am very confused of what to declare because I have 2 saudi employers. First was the private nurse experience for 3 years but I was not required to get a license that time. The second one was last 2013 to 2015 in which I already had my license. Right now, I am working here in the Philippines for 2 years. can you please help me of whether I needed to declare all of these or just the last 2 exp. Thanks! :)

Hello donnieee. Minimum of 2 references are required. It will also be a good idea not to declare on your barcoded forms unregistered practice. However, you might be asked about employment gap once they assess your application. So be prepared for that.

Also, you can even chose 2 references from your current employer. And again they might ask for employment gap declaration.

There are cases they will not ask though. Like in my case, my first reference is KSA Aug 2012- Sept 2016

And 2nd is Oct 2007 - March 2010.

I don't know exactly their criteria for asking the gap.

Good luck on your processing. It might get overwhelming but just work on it and you will be alright. I hope this information helps.

Hi there, this forum is very helpful to ex saudi nurses. Here is my dilemma:

Ive worked in the kSA for 2 years, left the country with no COE, exit visa and police clearance, rather a re entry visa was given. I did not come back in the kingdom because I got married and got pregnant and have to take care of my young. I got my sc certificate and id. I am currently employed as a nurse for 3 years.

Im now on NMC assessment for docs and been wondering what to do now.

1. Do I really need to secure a police clearance?

2. For visa processing will they ask for it?

thanks in advance... :D

I think for references you can just use the most recent one (2 references from your work here in the PH)...you might need to upload your Saudi registration and send a certificate of good standing from Saudi council though (I wish I could be helpful, but I'm not 100% sure about this). Also, you did live in Saudi Arabia for more than 12mos, you have to declare that for visa purposes. VAC will ask for your Saudi police clearance.
