Hi there!
I just want to ask somebody here who has experience in processing for the NMC-UK with a previous experience in Saudi Arabia. Herewith are the requirements for an ex-saudi nurse to comply. Please do correct me if there are any mistakes or errors.
1 . Final EXIT Visa in ENGLISH
2. Police Clearance from Saudi Arabia - translated and stamped by the Chamber of Commerce
3. NMC FORMS - License verification from SCFHS to NMC ( to be filled up and sent )
4. Employment certificate from Saudi
- needs to have details of sick leave
-reference letter from employer less than six months with official stamp
5. Good Standing Certificate - less than six months
6. SCFHS Certification ( Gray Colored Certificate) copy in with english translation
7. Copy of SCFHS card
I know these are a lot but I just wanted to clarify on how do I obtain these especially that it has been a year since I worked from the hospital. Is it necessary to have these forms completed? thanks for the help.
TIPS and advice are very much needed. Thank you

Hi, I am ex-Saudi RN, I worked there for 2 years, from 2012-2014. To answer your queries:
1. Final Exit Visa in English
- I uploaded this document in my NMC portal together with the 'exit stamp' in my passport, in replacement of my Saudi Police Clearance. Have these documents (final exit visa and exit stamp) be translated in English. I had it done at NCMF (National Commission of Muslim Filipino) at Commonwealth Ave, QC. And also, secure a certification from the translator that he/she is 'verified' to do the translating.
- If you have one, then good for you. I'm not just really sure if it needs to be translated under the Chamber of Commerce. Maybe if you are residing at Saudi or you know anyone there? Then maybe it's possible. But if it's not, you can just go ahead and have it translated at NCMF.
- If you don't have one, like for my case and some other ex-saudi RNs here, see my answer in Number 1.
- I left Saudi last 2014. I don't have anyone who can process one for me inside the Kingdom. I emailed NMC about this. I asked for further queries and told them about my case. They advised me that I should just download a blank form of this Registration Authority Form (or the form intended to be sent to SCFHS), attach a copy of my Good Standing Certificate from SCFHS, and also send in an explanation letter why this form is blank.
4. Employment certificate from Saudi - needs to have details of sick leave
- My COE from my Saudi employer don't have any details of my sick leave or absences. And as far as I know, I did not send a copy of my COE to NMC.
- reference letter from employer less than six months with official stamp
I guess if you're talking about the Reference Forms downloaded from the NMC portal, your employer don't need to send in a copy of a reference letter. They only have to sign the forms properly and must fill up all the blanks required. Forms must be signed/dated/stamped by your referee and must be submitted to NMC via post. If they don't have stamps, then they can make a letter explaining why.
If you're talking about the REFERENCE/Recommendation letter from your Saudi employer, I guess, this one depends on your agency or your UK employer. Because after I received my DL/OSCE Letter this March, my UK agency asked me if I can submit a new reference letter from my current employment, saying that the ISSUE date of the reference letter should be current. I submitted mine last Nov 2016, they wanted a new one with March 2017 (or current date) on it. And they only asked me for my current experience, not my previous one (Saudi experience).
So if your last employment was still with Saudi, then you have to get a new reference letter with a new issue date. Again, I'm not sure about this because this is really dependent on your UK employer/agency.
Yes, you need this one and this must be received within three months of the issue date. NMC won't accept outdated ones. You can get COGS online. :)
- If you have this one, good for you. Have it translated and you can upload this one in your portal under the registration certificate.
- If you don't have one, I suggest you have to email NMC regarding this, they will give you suggestions on what to do and what documents you can submit in behalf of this lacking document. I've known some members in this forum who don't have this SCFHS Certification but still they were able to get their DL. :) Just give NMC a call or best an email. :)
- You can submit this in support of your Saudi documents. I submitted a copy of my SCFHS card together with my NMC blank forms.
***
So, there you go. Again, if you do have questions especially if it's related to your Saudi documents or employment, don't hesitate to call or email NMC. They are the best people who can answer your questions.
I have only answered some of your questions based on my experience and my case maybe different from yours, so just give NMC a call. I was put on queue last January 25 and I received my DL last March 17. With all the lacking documents and all, I couldn't be anymore grateful. :)
I hope this helps!
Hi Jinna
Thank you for taking time on writing on my queries, I really appreciate it very much, it is such a blessing to see all you have written. I thought I am gonna abandon my application since I am miles away from KSA. I would like to clarify some things too.
- Is that what they call the NOC or Letter of No Objection? I have that one given by King Fahad together with the Employment Certificate. It says the hospital has no objection that the employee may will leave the country and may come back with new iqama.... Both are written in English and Arabic.
2. NMC forms for SCFHS - do you have a format of the letter or form to where you had written ? Did you write it ina separatel sheet and written it like in an ordinary letter format? To whom did you address it?
3. Of the SCFHS certificate (gray from) and the photocopy of the Saudi ID CArd, did you have it notarized? Thank you

- Final exit visa is a separate paper. My employer gave it to me days before my flight. I think it is also called as the "muqeem" paper, if I'm not mistaken. If you don't have that final exit visa document, I think it's fine. You can just use the 'exit stamp' on your passport instead. And regarding the NOC from your COE, maybe you can have that in support of your Saudi papers, just write or explain everything in the letter.
2. And speaking of letter, I had it written in a formal way (like the business or cover letter type) and on a separate sheet. I just wrote, "to whom this may concern" and really explained a lot, haha, and attached relevant documents in support why my NMC form is blank. All my attached document were photocopies
3. Mine wasn't notarized when I sent it. Though some would really advise you to have those documents be notarized, just to be sure. But since I was really rushing (and excited) to send all my documents to NMC, I wasn't able to do it. I just thank God, my assessor didn't mind that. Everything also depends on your assessor if he/she would require you. But just to be sure, just have them notarized.
I could send you a copy of the letter I made, I sent you PM as well. I put my details there. We could keep in touch. :)
And you're welcome always :)
God bless.

So I was employed in Saudi from 2012-2016. I decided to leave last year. My employer, a private institution in al-Khobar did not want me to leave, they made it so apparent when all of my exit documents, a single page coe, passport and visa and my benefits(?) were given on the day of my leaving. I didn't get to correct the mistakes in my coe nor was I able to get a copy of my license, certificates and whatnot. And if your list contains the docs I need to provide to apply for UK, I think I need to think a long and hard thinking.
1. I do have an Exit Visa and Passport stamp.
2. I have a Police clearance but not yet translated.
3. I don't have anyone to process my SCFH docs, but it seems its alright.
4. I only have a very basic coe, my misspelled name, position and time frame of employment, Chamber verified.
*I don't have reference letter of some sort though.
*I am currently employed, but I doubt my current employer would give any employment reference since
i only started with them last February.
5. Easy
6. Was not provided to me even when I was in Saudi.
7. I have a photographed copy given to me by my previous employer.
Is my UK dream on its end before it began?
*I do have an IELTS though.yay(?)

@nursedixie hello, I want to follow your application. It's been a couple of motnhs since you post this. Can I get an update? you can contact me through my email, [email protected].
there hve been no developments in my application after my CBT because of these problems.
Saudi Arabia, We were employed by Al mutabagani health services and work as contractor for ARAMCO. however, ARAMCO upgraded their systems, blocking all emails from the outside as what a friend of mine told me.
I would like to ask,
reference form for employer: section 1 should be filled by me, so i need to answer the questions. section 2 and 3 are for my employer to fill up.
I dont have anybody to process my saudi council either. so i need to email NMC regarding this as well.
