Yep...my sister started as a new grad in one of the Kaiser hospital in Bay Area way back 2003 and she graduated batch 1995 in the Philippines.I guess they were not strict before probably because the US economy were still stable and they're lacking of nurses compared to now, over loaded of nurses.

Yes, your sister for sure got in at a very good time. Do you know what others (both PH nurses and US nurses) call the Kaiser hospital group? Phillipine General Hospital, lol.

What does your sister think of the current issues facing us recent PH grads?

If you have a pharmacology subject alone, then put the grade and hours required which is at least 54 hours. If it's integrated, check Integrated, then an explanation letter written by your dean stating that you've covered pharmacology integrated to your major subjects and taught drug calculations, administration of medications etc.Ask them to put a school seal.

We dont need to submit a nursing record of experience right? Cause we're applying for equivalency?

Indeed. But if you have at least 48 months of paid bedside nursing experience then might as well include it.Good luck

I'm in the same situation so I decided to go the LVN Ca route just to get things going for me. I've been procrastinating way too long. I just have to send in a few more requirements in to the BVNPT Ca. I'll start applying for the RN in another state in a few weeks so right after I take the LVN, hopefully I'll be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN in another state.

Is anyone choosing the LVN route? And if you are, run into any problems?

You can still apply for a LVN exam even you don't have a license back home.
