Denied by CABON now to take LVN..

Can anyone help me here, I'm planning to take the LVN exam because I just got denied by CABON because of the concurrency issue..I just want to know:

Method #3 - Equivalent Education and/or Experience(the PHARMACOLOGY course)Do I need to submit it also? and how? or I just need to submit only the

Method #2 - Graduates of an Out-of-State School of Practical/Vocational Nursing.

BTW, I'm an international graduate, Registered Nurse from the Philippines but I can't sit for the NCLEX-RN exam that is why I decided to take this one. Hope someone can answer my question thank you.

hi dragon_lady! I'm a a registered nurse in the philippines and graduated at the university of mindanao. I'm kinda frightened and confused about that concurrency issue. I am about to take the NCLEX-RN here in washington. could you give me some advices or anything on how to be eligible to take NCLEX here in washington? like about the hours of RLE and subjects. thank you.

I think BVNPT's still processing the applications, same thing as last year's. I got my eligibility and luckily passed my NCLEX-PN. Also @dragon_lady passed the exam as well. We're now LVN's. I think you shouldn't be worried :) You'll surely get your eligibility soon :) In my case, BVNPT sent me a form called DECLARATION OF NURSING EDUCATION wherein I put all the dates of my RLE rotations. After that, I got my eligibility. Think positive! You'll get that eligibility 'cause you deserve it though it's pretty tough to stand up from the CA-BON aftermath. I was really frustrated before when I was denied by CA-BON in 2011.

Before i came here last June, i thought it was easy to get the eligibility for NCLEX RN. Then just a few days before our flight, I discovered this allnurses and the thread about international graduates being denied. It was so frustrating. If I would be denied for NCLEX PN, too. That would be too much. Haha!

You're very much welcome kabayan.Did i address you right?HE or SHE?I'm sorry about that.Just don't lose hope,this is only a trials for us international graduates.But with the help of our LORD,we'll get through it.Just pray and have faith in him.Good luck to us.I'm still waiting for the board's reply for my clinical cases.How long did it take to you before you receive your letter from the board?

Before i came here last June, i thought it was easy to get the eligibility for NCLEX RN. Yeah me too, I was frustrated as well cause twas a shocking reply from CA-BON because some of my friends were able to sit for NCLEX but the difference was, they applied in early 2011 while me, I applied mid 2011. I've been through those days wherein I just said "Im done. Nursing's not for me" hahaha twas momentous melodramatic reaction from the CA-BON letter hahaha It hurts because I received that letter from CA-BON by christmas eve of 2011 so, I was so down even we're having a party and countdown for christmas.

And to your BVNPT application, when did you apply? Did you have your reply letter yet?

They received my application dec19. So probably they'd reply after2-3months. They emailed me yesterday saying they're still processing sept14,2012.

I submitted the Declaration of Nursing Education form by the month of June and received my eligibility by August. Just a span of two months. How long have you been waiting?

im waiting almost a year! i have submitted declaration at end of august but i got a letter december and guess what it is another declaration form that i already filled up and they like to be filled out again. i called too many times already now they are telling me to wait again and im hoping it wouldnt be 4 months waiting again, im sooo eager to test already! im just hoping and praying they give eligibility already. anyone here have same situation as mine?

Oh that's pretty sad to hear. Maybe the first declaration form that you already filled up didn't arrive to their office. It happens. Did you send it thru regular mail? or thru express mail like in UPS or Fedex? I sent mine thru regular mail. Luckily I got my eligibility after 2 months. I hope after you filled that new form they sent you again, you'll get your eligibility then. Good luck! :)

I'm sorry to hear that.Why it took them so long to respond if they didn't receive your declaration form?You should have called them before to verify if they receive it.Good luck and stay positive.

i just got my eligibility today in mail:) what recommendations you have for reviewing lvn? what materials did you use and help you?
