Can you sit the NCLEX in any state?

I am from the UK and hopefully will be getting my ATT soon.

So my question is , do i need to sit the exam in under the state i applied or can i sit it in another state. I do know i can sit it in London.

You can physically sit the exam in any (available) location that is convenient for you. The results will be communicated to the state BON to which you've applied for licensure.

Thats good, now i don't want to sit the test in London as i was told i would have to wait 4 weeks for results!!! Im i right to believe that if i sit it in the states there is a 48hr turn around on results ?

No. The result availability depends on the board of nursing. Quick results in 48 hours is if the BoN participates

Dont know who told you that, each BON is different and that means results will be different. If the state participates in quick results then you will get results 48 hours later regardless where you took it

On average results can take between 24 hours and 7 days dependent on the state you applied to

NJ can take 4-6 weeks for a license but participates in quick results.
