CA BRN new requirements for NCLEX RN international students - Page 31
Register Today!- May 7, '12 by souleater11I told my Foreign grad Filipino friend about this CA issue last night and she does not believe me. She applied last June 2011. And last March 2012 the CA BRN told her that her College diploma is required. she is confident that her application will have no problems.
I'm confused how come she still has not yet receive a letter that her CA application will be denied? -

If that's the case, then I can see why she said she "will have no problems."I told my Foreign grad Filipino friend about this CA issue last night and she does not believe me. Is there some missing information, like maybe it could also be that she graduated outside of the affected years and or she applied prior to the CA BON SS# requirement? - May 9, '12 by kewlNursetobeI'm really confused with this issue, I applied and completed way back 2006 and before they're not requiring SS#. After failing the exam I decided to take a break. My 2nd try was March 2012 and immediately re applied still waiting for the letter though. So this means they will STILL re evaluate my credentials even if they just started the NEW RULE last year?
- May 9, '12 by Silverdragon102We have seen several people post when retaking the exam they have been reassessed and informed the do not meet requirements
- May 9, '12 by BennyRNCAQuote from kewlNursetobeYes, from what I understand in talking to a few overseas nurses trying to get licensed in CA, once you reapply at any point, you are "resetting the clock" all over again, meaning everything will be re-done as a brand new application and any and all new rules will be applied accordingly.I'm really confused with this issue, I applied and completed way back 2006 and before they're not requiring SS#. Nway my application on lvn still pending for evaluation. I called the lvn board and said that they are working on application dated January... It takes 12-14 weeks!!!! Geezzee... Take so long... Nway good luck to us... Hope we can in touch with each other.. Pm me at lailao1012@gmail.com hope to hear from u.
BSN grad 2007, took the NCLEX-RN 3x, when I decided to re-apply, got a letter asking to send a copy of my clinical cases. It sucks 'coz before I was eligible to sit for d exam & now they want to re-evaluate what have been acceptable to the credentials they required. It took me a gopd couple of months, money & effort to gather all the necessary documents until I was able to receive my ATT in 2008. Unluckily didn't pass, so I tried agn on 2009 & 2010 consecutively. Got married & now I'm ready for the boards they are giving me a hard time.
The licensing analyst I spoke to says they want to see whether or not my cases are concurrent with the lecture. Problem is my alma mater just closed their mursing program, meaning I don't have a choice either to take the LPN or enroll on OB & MS. I don't wanna spend more money on studying again, all I need is to pass the boards and get my career started as a nurse.
Good luck to ur LVN application. I am also among others who are considering to challenge the LVN exam. Accdg. to my analyst, I just have to write her a letter requesting her to provide me with Transcript of Records and she could send it to me wherever I want.
My question is:
* should I have my analyst send it back to me? So, together with my LVN application form, I could forward it BVNPT altogether. - May 10, '12 by jhoneusebiowhat if my school write a written explanation why my cases are not concurrent ? do u think the CABRN will honor it? thanks
