CA BRN New Requirements For NCLEX RN international students

I had already registered online in Pearson Vue but I think I'm not yet eligible to take the test. Is there an expiration date for my registration at PV?

I received a letter from CA BON requesting for new requirements such as:

1. SS number
2. Local license in the Philippines
3. Copy of ur clinical rotation schedule for your cases: Assisted/Actual deliveries, cord dressing, and major/minor surgeries
4. A complete school curriculum hundred pages or more sent directly from ur nursing school to the board. (the board doesn't accept the condensed version of the curriculum
5. A one-page curriculum outline and academic calendar.

Fortunately, I had the first 2 requirements but I am worried that the last 3 will take time to be accomplished.

I am wondering if it's just me who have this requirement. Most of NCLEX passers I know weren't required on those listed above. It's really hard to focus on review while your thinking of this

Yes mam i sent a letter to them about that.. But my cases in or dr will also affect it.

I think you should try applying in other states not requiring a local license. Like Nevada & New Jersey. Actually those are my two options, since my application here in California just got denied.

Hi im also a international student from the philippines but im a US citizen too i got this mail from BON for their new requirements and im shocked cause i still have a lot to complete for my requirement.,.one of the problem is they want a copy of my nursing license in the philippine and the problem is i did'nt took the NLE exam in the philippines because once i finished my bachelors degree i went home here in california please someone help with this.,.need help badly

We got the sme problem hoenhyme. Right now my plan is to apply nclex in new york state, nevada, new jersey all at once..

by the way i was denied to take rn exam at cabrn so i applied lvn exam after 3 mos i got a replied from bvnpt asking for my ged or high school diploma and a declaration of nursing education or/licensure pls guys help me to fill it up.. i dont understand what their asking about q.4,5,6,7,8 and 9.. is the q#6 asking for ched??? cuz the cabrn already send my school records to bvnpt i paid $30 for that.. so i guess the q.5 and 8 will provide that info.. and the q#9??? translation qualification?? what is that?? pls guys i need ur help. thanks!

hi melai, am willing to help u but can you tell us if were we can find the form of DECLARATION OF NURSING EDUCATION or/LICENSURE? i called the BVN a day ago in the guy told me that i would receive their response this july and i guess i would have the same response like u had......and, actually, the BRN only transfer the copy of our TOR to the BVN not all of our nursing record though..

they send the form to me and ask me to fill it up and not send it to my school. i ask a friend i meet here in the forum and he has a friend that got the same letter as mine.. he told me some info and some questions i answered with his help. but the question about clinical duty bothers me.. asking for hours of work the phone # fax# instructor exact address of the hospital.. i was looking the form at the website but i cant find it.... if just in case i made mistake filling it up at least i have a spare.. thanks for the reply!!

I would contact kayakoto here on this board, as she is the only one (I think) so far that was able to get her LVN application processed very quickly and was approved. Then let us know how this goes, so we can learn too.

Is that even possible to send in multiple applications? If so, good for you, I can't afford to send that much right now, one at a time for me, but it will certainly increase your chances to get in somewhere and not waste months waiting and waiting.
