Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

The information I gave is readily available online, and from other sources including nurses, and may be checked directly with Monash University. Interested parties/nurses deserve to get information from knowledgeable sources. Readers are enjoined to check the information's accuracy, then use the information as basis for action. I wish all nurses the best who have received or who are awaiting their LOEs from AHPRA, or who are still figuring out if Australia is their choice of a destination.

I've been refreshing the website of Monash Uni (IRON Program) and I can't find the start date that says 05 January. It is still stated it to be on early next year. Can you give me the link? I asked Monash which referred me to Auss One and answered that they still don't have the start date.

Do you also know when will the intensive phase and clinicals will start? Will it simultaneously follow after the online course?

The January 5 intake is now being filled up before the official announcement is released. After the online module as announced on the Monash website, a one-week intensive laboratory workshop will follow, after which the 6-week clinical practicum will take place. Let's stay in touch.

Is this the only intake? What are the other intake dates?

Am I right to say this?

05 Jan - Online Module (5 weeks)

09 Feb - Intensive week at Monash (1 week)

16 Feb - Clinicals (6 weeks)

Is the online module a self-paced program? Do we need to allot immense of time for that?

Exactly right! Have you received your LOE from AHPRA?

Yes, last week.

From which school in the Philippines did you graduate?

Hello. I hope someone can answer my queries.

How does Business Visa 600 works?

What documents are needed to apply for this stream?

Does it need that an applicant should provide evidence of ties in the Philippines like current employment? Or an offer letter/certificate of enrollment from BP school and proof of funds would suffice on top of other requirements?

How much funds are needed for a 3 month stay?

Thank you.

Hey k.a.b.a.y.a.n!

Go over the visa application form 1415. You have to answer a bunch of questions that would need matching documents as proof. For example on Part B, you can attach your certificate of employment if currently employed. For Part C, you can attach the BP school's acceptance letter. Also, provide docs that prove you are qualified to attend the BP like the AHPRA LoE, School TOR, Diploma, Board Cert, IELTS. For Part D, you can attach your personal bank certificate.
