Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

LOE from Ahpra or ACN? In ACN's case ,better call them tomorrow to check. Theyve been on holidays and just started their operations back last Thursday. Have u completed your requirements yet (inc. Vaccinations)?

@whitetiara,RN from ahpra, yup ive completed all my requirements already. its just the Letter for bridging that im waiting for. how about you?;)

I am already enrolled. It took me a while to get my endorsement letter too. Just be patient and keep asking for updates =) Its good that you have your requirements ready for submission so you can send it as soon as you receive your letter. Good luck on your application. Maybe we'll see each other soon. =)

@whitetiara, RN yes looking forward to that pm me your email;) ill let you know if i make it by then;) you in sydney?:)

Im not allowed to send PMs. Can you send me yours instead?

hi guys how did u go with your mantoux test and all regarding to that test?

Filipinos usually get a positive result. If you do, theyll order a chest xray. If youre in sydney. You can go to government hospitals, I did mine at sydney eye hospital. They didnt charge me anything. Good luck on your application

Hi whitetiara, how long did it take before you got your letter from ACN?

ACN is also my preferred school, but based on general feedback I am concerned that it will take a while before I get the endorsement letter from ACN and complete the BP before my IELTS expires.

Hi all.. Back in allnurses after a while.. Was here about 2 years ago when I was applying for AHPRA. Now it's my hubby's turn to get his registration.. What are the requirements now and which is the fastest state to lodge application? TIA. :)
