Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

@whitetiara,RN from ahpra, yup ive completed all my requirements already. its just the Letter for bridging that im waiting for. how about you?;)

Good day!

May I know how you completed this: Australian Federal Police criminal record check within the last 12 months?

Thanks in advance!

Did you take the insurance recommended by ihna? The standard one? Im thinking of not getting it. It is still expensive for me.

Hi bigbrowneyes! Have you started the course already.? I was supposed to join the feb intake in inha but they have changed the start date from Feb 16 , 2015 to Feb 9. I was still on holiday back then so just decided to Join the march intake. i have already paid the enrolment fee etc. I am currently residing in Queensland Australia. If you were not able to join the feb intake i might see you on march. :)

My health insurance is Bupa that is the cheapest health insurance in Au for international students. I think everything that inha offers like accomodation etc. are expensive. I've been here for almost 2 years now and have recently shift to bupa health cover because that is the cheapest my partner and i found. :) let me know if i can help. :)

It is important to have health insurance here in australia, just to be admitted in ED costs like $1000-$2000 box per night-- having private health insurance will save you heaps of money for such unforseeable event. Anyways, even if you don't avail it, IHNA will ask documents from you including copy of proof of health insurance (from what I recall).. Then, some of my classmates were told to see have immunization serology test coz the hospital where they are having their clinical placements require such. Good luck and Enjoy your BP.... 😄
