Took my ANCC FNP boards today and passed!!!! What a relief!!! I'm so glad it's over, but very glad I put in the time and effort to prepare for the exam.
Now I think I hear a margarita calling my name.............

Yeahhhh!!! Awesome, congrats!! I take mine Aug 5, so spill you guts on how you prepared, types of questions asked, what you thought of the test...lol.
I thought the test was easier than NCLEX-no "choose all that apply" questions. I prepared by taking a Fitzgerald review course and buying her review book. I probably studied a couple of hours a day most days. I thought both were very helpful-i actually didn't refer to my school notes very much!! There were no trick questions, and no questions on weird obscure things. You might also find it helpful to review the ANA standards and any cultural competency stuff you learned in school. I think it's far better to spend your time going over the general pricniples and issues of each body system than doing a million practice questions. This test was more about critical thinking than memorization.
Good luck!! Let us know how it goes!
Thank you for that response, it helps to ease my anxiety. I'm not using school notes either to study (too intense). I hate those all of the above questions, lol. I will check out the ANA standards..thanks..
I hope to join you soon as a "passed" graduate!
