Nurses Relations

So, in the heat of excitement over the Seahawks divisional title (Go Hawks), I ordered a Seahawks jersey through a tech at work. Two months later, after repeated inquiries, and polite "Where's my shirt?" mentions, it finally came down to "I want my shirt now!".

Got tired of the excuses ( It was Chinese New Year, my daughter is sick, it's en-route, I'm in Las Vegas, I'm only a middle man, I DON'T LIKE TO BE THE MIDDLE MAN!"

OK, new policy... NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM CO-WORKERS!

Did I mention, I'm now the 'bad guy'?

 Did you pay for it already? Sounds like it is time to demand a refund, since you are already the bad guy anyway.

Agreed! If you have paid for it you are very much justified in asking for a refund.

I once got a bad check (for a baby shower) from an employee I supervised. Ended up costing me a ton of money.

No good deed goes unpunished!

Go Seahawks!!!!

I finally got the darned shirt, yes. I could have gotten something as good or better in my local sports store, without any hard feelings from a co-worker.

That's why I advise, don't buy anything from co-workers! In this case, her friend was getting the shirts from someone in San Fransisco, who got them from China. I suspect, now, that they are bootleg shirts.

Lesson learned.

Love your avatar! There are multiple parrots (African Gray & 2 Amazons) in my family. Much more trustworthy than co-workers, don't ya think?

I love the pic and it symbolizes to me the big and strong protecting the smaller and weaker, like we nurses do. We protect the vulnerable, even if they are orange and puny.

Same thing with letting them borrow money. Never again!

Heh, I bought Girl Scout cookies from one of my co-workers. I bought 5 boxes and somehow only got 4 and a half. Seems her kids got into one of the boxes and ate half of it before she realized what they had done. I let it slide, but I did have a good laugh about it.

It gets tough when everyone comes selling their kids school fundraisers. The one that absolutely ended it all for me was the one who upped the price to get more donations for the cause. The items were a $1 bar and she was doubling it. I found it fraudulent. Never again.

I never peddled my kids stuff at work. I didn't buy at work. As a supervisor, I would go broke buying something from everyone selling on every floor. There are seven floors.:banghead:

Yeah, I don't buy fundraisers. I can't always do it and if I do it for one person's kiddo and not another it feels mean. I spent plenty on my own kids stuff. I am almost done with those days. I'll save it for the (someday) grandkids.
