Specialties NICU

I could only find video on this, no stories. I did learn in another video that it mimics the womb better and in turn relaxes the baby. Didn't know if you guys use it or not but still thought it was interesting.

Interesting thought.... I know half my babies would manage to flip themselves out onto the bed. They always seem to end up wedged up against the foot of the isolette sleeping peacefully with their now-removed bili mask clutched in their hand.....

Interesting, but I agree with Steve..they would end up tossing out of it and landing at the bottom of the isolette where they like it best! LOL

If they need any nurses to trial this therapy before bringing it to the babies, I'm there.

Wow, that's pretty neat!

But yeah, I don't see how they would stay in there!

Just like my little IUGR 700-gram 32 weeker ...... she's so dang WILD! I have her all nestled in a huge roll, tucked in tight. Then I go to check on her because I see her pulse ox waves movin' ..... I peek in there and she's got her head butted against the porthole. Why stay all cuddled up in a nice, warm roll that your nurse just made you when you can have your head smashed against a cold, hard porthole door?! :D

my oldest ds (28 wker) would never stay in the rolls or anything they tried for him. He was always getting out and moving all over the place.

even after they had only been in their just 5 mins. ago. they love to keep you guys on your toes. LOL
