VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Yes I agree just be patient. For all who didn't get ya letters yet start getting your money together . The letter will be there in no time. Congratulations to everyone who got there letters including my self and to those who didn't u still made it in

Yay!!!! :anpom: :yeah: I just got home and found my acceptance letter waiting for me in my mailbox. Now I can finally stop biting my nails, pulling my hair out, and stalking the mailman lol. To all those who have already received their letters :ancong!: To all those that are still waiting be patient. Your letter is on the way.

I got my acceptance letter!!!! I'm so relieved!!! I'm making my deposit first thing in the mormning!! Wowowow!!! Thank you guys so much for helping me outtt!!!

OOOOOOOMMMMMGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! GOT MY LETTER 2DAY YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooo happy i got in and i couldnt wait till friday and i called this morning and she asked my name and told me i would be getting it by today or tomorrow :yeah:hopefully everyone else will be getting theirs tomorrow or friday but they said if the deposits arent in by the 20th then they will be giving the seat away to the next person on the waiting list. Unfortunately i have to work early int he morning and wont b able to drop it off tomorrow but friday i will. I am so happy i really needed something good to happen to me today well i will be seeing u guys at the orientation soon CONGRATS 2 ALL WHO GOT IN!!!

Decided to call VEEB AGAIN this morning lol and the lady also asked my name. She read back my address to me and told me that something was mailed out for me n that I should be receiving it anyday! whoo hoo just hope. It's the letter I want to see :-\ lol. Anyway good luck everyone, I'll keep u guys posted! !!!

Well, I called VEEB this morning, and when I gave the lady my name she said my name was NOT on the list, so I guess she didnt want to tell me anything else. She asked me when I tested and I told her March 17, and she told me that it was too late when I took my test.....so this doesnt look good at all for me. Like I said before I didnt want to get my hopes up in case up disappointment, but something told me I wouldnt be accepted. I wish you all the best. Take care.

OH NO GLADY!! :crying2: Still dont give up, many people prob wont pass the bridge or some may not have the deposit! I Say HANG in there...and wait until u recieve a letter in the mail that tells u excatly whats what. KEEP UR DEPOSIT MONEY until u know whats going on for sure!!! I went through something similar with another school last year. I was told that I would be put on the waiting list and "if" anything opens I'll be given a call. Well, I didnt believe I still had a chance of getting in....needless to say I went on a "Shopping Spree" to "cheer myself up" with my registration money :bugeyes:!!! Low and behold they called me the very next day to tell me that someone dropped out and a spot was avaliable for me! :smackingf I would have probably been a NURSE by now if I would had held on and been patient. Shopping is a demon! HAHAHA!!!!:lol2:

Thanks Lilynursegoal, I appreciate the encouragement, but I decided to just start looking into other schools and to see where ever I can try to get into. It's just gonna be a drag to take the VEEB test over again and get new references all over again. That in itself was stressful, so I decided to start doing my pre-reqs and try to get into a community college and hopefully someone might accept me. I might even try to see what BOCES is all about, maybe I can have some luck there, but I'm not going to give up. I would have loved to meet you all, but things happen for a reason. I wish you all the best in all your endeavors, and I know you guys will make excellent LPN's. You guys rock!!!!!

I am so confused.i called Veeb this afternoon and i was told that nothing has been sent out to me yet.i was asked to be patient and that if i am accepted or not,a letter will definitely be sent to me
