VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

The only thing with thr bridge is their second score counts they throw out the first score but honestly everyone isn't gonna have the money or they'll fail the drug test or won't register on time there's a lot of sh!t that can happen trust and u kno a few ppl that r either in veeb or finished that have told me that they don't hold to many places for ppl in the bridge it really is on who gets their money in on time and even still after ppl register other things pop up and they can't attend that's wat happened to my friend remember they called her only a couple of weeks b4 classes started don't beat urself up over it. If u don't get in take a math and anatomy class so if u do decide to try again ( even tho I have a feeling I'll get in this year) u will have an advantage over everyone else and the class credits will still b good wen u go for ur rn. That's wat u did and I kno how u feel atleast u passed I tested last year n missed it by .5 on the math. Just have a lil more patience everything will fall into place! And call every week to check ur status bc atleast it will b known ur persistant and dedicated and u truly wanna b in their school.

My phone is the worst but I took classes at ncc and I found out a couple other schools that have a lpn program I will look 4 it tonite and will post it for u as soon as I find it

Thank you missme123, I really appreciate the encouragement. Have you been accepted to VEEB? Do you know anyone else who was in my situation ( who passed and sent in their references, BUT didnt receive an accpetance letter?)?. I'm just so puzzled as to how they work their system. Everyone on here kept saying that as long as you passed and handed in your references you are in, so I guess I'm figuring out what went wrong. I guess it's just first come first....but to be honest with you I believe it should be who passed first goes first.....oh well whatever I have no control over this.....but Thank you very mcuh for your advice. I really appreciate it and I wish you alot of luck in your future endeavors. Hopefully we can be classmates!!!!:)

Im not home now, but I called n my sister said my ACCEPTANCE LETTER came today!!! WHOO HOO!!!!!!!! Thank GOD for JESUS. I have to work tonight but can't wait to get home to see my acceptance letter with my own 2 eyes!!! Good luck everyone. :)

Thank you More cowbell, Yes unfortunately we are in the same boat. You tested before me. I tested march 17. So you will defintely get a seat before I will, so your chances are better. I would assume you would have gotten your acceptance letter because I think someone tested around the time you did either the 2nd or 4th and they got their acceptance letter. Did you try calling VEEB to see if your name was on the list of people who had something mailed out? maybe you can get more info from VEEB. Hope this helps. Let me know if you get anything.

I haven't called VEEB yet, I'll give'em a ring sometime next week. I have finals to prepare for in the meantime:uhoh3:, never the less, I'll be in touch weather I'm in or not. Either way, Let's stay optomistic!! We still have four months to go till Sept......

GlAdy17 yea I'm in the program I dropped my deposit off today buy she said the orientation info will b sent in the mail. But i saw the list of names and it wasn't that many it looked like they were sending acceptance letters in batches so I guess by may 20th that's wen they start with the next batch bc if u don't bring the money by then u will DEFFINATELY lose ur seat and it's on to the next one. I only kno 1 other person who tested but we had the same date but she's in the bridge bc she passed the reading bur got a 8.7 on the math. But I doubt everyone will have the money to register so let's try to bank on that wait to the 20th n see wat happens. Don't 4get they take ppl until the classes fill n like I said b4 they called a girl in late July early august bc sum1 dropped out and they had the opening.
