NCLEX in 20 days!!! (January 15, 2013)

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I am sooo nervous!... I have done HURST Review and am now doing Kaplan review: so far my diagnostic score was a 61.11% QT1: 60% and QT2: 64% I am still working through reading the Course Book and reviewing the content lesson...

I have been doing 100-150 questions a day whether its on Kaplan or flash card questions. I am afraid that a lot the questions I am doing are too easy and will be easier than what will be on the actually NCLEX...

I feel so discouraged at times because I have a lot depending on me passing the NCLEX, a new job lined up, my parents, boyfriend, etc. :nailbiting:

Is there anything else I can do different? Are my scores okay? Any advice will help!!

Thanks :shy:

Just finished QT6...got a 60%, was hoping to do better but oh well. 200 questions is quite a lot to sit through while remaining focused and concentrating:bored: now to review the rationales.....what a fun and exciting friday night lol. hoping all of this studying pays off!!!

It will I am sure of it...you know they say that 60% is good!!!...although I know how you feel....Im doing Qbank tonight for my friday night date lol just did a 50 question quiz got an 80% on it ...it made me tear up a little lol even if it is practice made me feel pretty good!

Your score look real good to me. I'm 100% sure with that score you gonna a kick that test. Good luck from me !!

Hi all,

Well tomorrow will be exactly 10 days till my test date of Jan 15th and I still don't feel ready. I have gotten through 1/2 of the Saunders Comprehensive Yellow Book (Chapter 40 out of 70 or so) and have done up to Question Trainer 5 on Kaplan. Here are my scores on Kaplan thus far: QT 1: 67%, QT 2: 75%, QT 3: 73%, QT 4: 77%, QT: 69% (I'm really burned out and grumpy and almost ran out time with that last one lol)

Honestly, while doing the Kaplan questions I don't have a lot of confidence (I often feel like I'm taking random educated guesses), but doing the Saunders questions doesn't do much for me cause the CD just repeats most of the book questions that I did already. My goal is to be done with content by Monday or Tuesday and just do non-stop Q-Bank questions, take the Readiness test, and finish the La Charity book with my remaining time. What is everyone else planning to do with their remaining week. We have to have faith we can do it! :)

How is everyone's studying going? I did qt7 today/tonight (6 hours!!!!!) talk about BURNED OUT!!! I got a 66 on it so I am glad to see a bit of improvement from the last q trainer...my plan is to review and study all of the rationales tomorrow and then on tuesday I am going to focus on my weaknesses (according to the way kaplan breaks down the scores). wednesday I will just review last minute things (labs, immunization schedule, etc) and then take it easy the night before my exam so I am ready to go thursday morning!!

I take mine the 15th as well, incredibly nervous! Scoring a 62 on my qbank and averaging low to mid 60s on my trainers. Did I mention I'm incredibly nervous!

I really think that you are going to blow the test out the water with those scores of yours!!!! We have only about 6 days left till the NCLEX and I am scared out of my mind because I'm still so weak in content and those meds that you have to know are so hard for me to remember thinking about rescheduling my test day but idk?!? Took QT5 made a 53% so my scores are decreasing! :( idk what to do

Do you feel secure in your content knowledge? Like while studying could you rattle off s/s of a disease process or could you just recognize them? I'm trying to think if I should be able to teach it off memory or just be able to recognize them?
