I am sooo nervous!... I have done HURST Review and am now doing Kaplan review: so far my diagnostic score was a 61.11% QT1: 60% and QT2: 64% I am still working through reading the Course Book and reviewing the content lesson...
I have been doing 100-150 questions a day whether its on Kaplan or flash card questions. I am afraid that a lot the questions I am doing are too easy and will be easier than what will be on the actually NCLEX...
I feel so discouraged at times because I have a lot depending on me passing the NCLEX, a new job lined up, my parents, boyfriend, etc.
Is there anything else I can do different? Are my scores okay? Any advice will help!!
Thanks
Sakshi

Are you still in the 60%'s? GOOD LUCK TO YOU AS WELL!!!!!! I've only been studying for a few weeks now... Some material I come across in questions I haven't covered that's what has me so discouraged ....

Hey!! Glad I found your post...my test date is Jan. 10th and I am starting to panic!! I bought Kaplan and have been working through the course book with the videos (great refresher) my scores so far:
Diagnostic: 56.11
QT1: 66.67
QT2: 66.67 (again)
QT3: 63.0
Just did the Readiness exam yesterday and am still reviewing my answers but i got a 62.22 on it. Also, so far my Qbank cummulative score is a 58%. Now that Im getting closer to my date my goal is to just finish all of the q trainers and review all answers as well as review my weaker areas shown in the diagnostic and readiness test.
We can do this!!!!!!!

I'm testing on Jan 15th as well and panicking! I have a job on the line, so the pressure to pass is huge. I'm trying to do Kaplan On Demand and Saunders Comprehensive Review (yellow book). Thus far, I have these scores in Kaplan, but I have to confess that I look up a couple of questions now and then cause I have so little time to actually review. My scores for Kaplan are:
Diagnostic: 70%
QT 1: 66.67%
QT 2: 74.67% - Thank God!! :)
Q Bank first 50: 64%
Q Bank second 50: 70%
I did some questions on the Saunders CD, including a 100 question test and got 81%. I'm just feeling so overwhelmed and nervous because my content/knowledge is weak with a lot of areas. How are you arranging your study time with regards to balancing doing questions and reviewing? I'm going to study no less than 6 hours a day for the rest of this week. I'm a slow test taker so this will take up a bit of time, but I'm glad to find a thread with my same test date! :)
Maria your Kaplan scores are amazing, great job!! I am reviewing my Readiness test answers tonight. Tomorrow I am going to be in the car for awhile so I will review content. I plan on finishing my Qtrainers and doing QT7 on Jan 6th. After I do each Qtrainer and review the questions, I will spend the rest of the day reviewing my weak content areas. I hope this is sufficient!

Hi Maria!!!
For the next week and a 1/2, focus on the content that you are struggling with, look over those rationales, and keep it moving. Your results are at or close enough to 70%, so you are ready...you have six hrs to take this test...use the time.
Good luck everyone!!! Stay calm, take care of yourselves during AND ESPECIALLY before and after taking the exam!!! *hugs*
Thank you Lady Free!! :)
Yes we can do this!!!!! I just feel my content is a little week got a 58% on QT3 this is a bit discouraging The content on Kaplan though is very dry and they read basically from the review book so it's hard for me to focus on it cause I have a shirt attention span... Lol Only 15 days left now!
Yeah it is sooo dry...It took me a whole week to get through all of the pharm presentations because I would get so bored during them and would stop and pause it hah. Im also very confused at the moment because I am reviewing questions and one of the rationales states that warmth is indicated for thrombophlebitis, not infiltration. I thought you applied warmth to both and then looked in the course book which also says do d/c the IV and apply warm compress sooooo what the heck lol. Im trying to not let my scores worry me too much (hard to do!) and just focus on studying rationales to all questions. My friend never got to that 65 on any of her kaplan tests and she passed in 75 questions. We are so close! Just keep swimminggggg :-)
Yes! I will surely be thinking of you and be praying for you with hopes that you PASS On the 10th keep us updated...and yes some topics can be very conflicting that's when our prior knowledge and critical thinking come into play
I am thinking of just doing questions no content though.....Just scared of those SATA's
Maria,
Your scores look AWESOME!!!!!.... So I have no doubt that you will surely pass!!!..
We have only 15 days left to study....(14 really if you take out the day before the test that I will be just relaxing
I've been doing HURST for content and Kaplan for the questions & strategy's...
I as well feel so overwhelmed with the pressure and what if questions that float around in my head....What state are you taking your license for?
