July 2009 NCLEX Support Group

Nursing Students NCLEX

I didn't see a July 09 support group thread up, so I thought I'd get it started.

I'm taking the NCLEX-RN July 3rd for the first (and hopefully only) time. I figured I'd get it done before the holiday weekend so I could at least enjoy some of the time off instead of spending the holiday chained to textbooks...as I've done for the last two years.

Good luck to all of us in July!

i'm taking mine July 14.. now i'm taking kaplan..

Hello all!

I've been coming to this site for about year and have gotten some great information here although I never posted. Well, I graduated in May and finally got my ATT. I will be testing on July 28th and I'm glad I found this thread coz I really need the support from fellow testers. I am currently using kaplan, Saunders and i'm thinking about getting the Prioritization book everyone talks about..anyone else using it? how many questions r doing a day? started my "real" studying today and planning on doing about 100-150/day..too little? too much?

Hello All Best wishes for all those who are going to be taking the nclex soon Graduated May 29th 2009 drove 5.5hrs to take nclex pn on this past saturday. Probably the worst day of my life but ended well found out i passed about 2 hrs ago Good Luck to all have faith it will work out

I did pass!!! YEAH! I am an official RN~!! It shut off after 75, and I did not think it was as bad as I made it out to be. The Hurst Review really helped.

I take mine on July 8th at 2 PM. I'm terrified, because I have a job lined up and have already been through orientation, but I can't start until I pass boards :( I wasn't toooo scared until I started reading about others' experiences and how some felt that it was WAY harder than they expected. I'm studying Saunders and ATI online review...along with MEDS StarNurse...but I can't afford Kaplan or Hurst. Good luck to everyone taking it in July! Let me know how it goes!

Soonertwin87 at least you have a job lined already, you only have to pass which i'm sure you will...I, on the other hand not only have to pass and then I have to continue my jobsearch which is getting more and more hopeless:cry: But I decided to put the job stress aside for the next month and just focus on getting my license so fingers crossed...:nurse:

All I can say is just know F&E, my friends and I all had very different questions.

Oh, I feel VERY blessed to have a job! I actually prayed about it for a long time. But from what I've seen, most people can get a job as an RN, but may not get their first choice of unit. But a job is a job for now, right? I think it's wise you're keeping the job stress in the back of your mind for now! GOOD LUCK to you on studying and boards! I wish you the best!!
