I'm scheduled to take my test July 17th. I've done Lippencott and Medspub reviews...and my average is around 75%. Does anyone know what percentage we should aim for?

Still waiting for my name to come up at the Ohio Board of Nursing. I have a job offer that I must have my ATT for and the OBN is moving in slow motion. Congrats to all you new grads who are passing your boards and starting your first jobs.

I graduated 5/9/09 and took the NCLEX 7/2/09. I did the Kaplan review, which I highly recommend, and completed the exam in 75 questions. Now I had heard that finishing at 75 is usually a good sign, but when my screen turned blue at 75 I FREAKED out. I was sure I failed. I spent the next 48 hours agonizing over how I managed to screw this up. I had ample time to prepare, I was an above average student, AND I was accepted in to the Navy Nurse Corps which was counting on me to pass asap, but I truly, truly felt that I had failed. I remember at one point during the exam, when I had recieved about the 8th SATA question, clenching my fists and silently screaming "you have GOT to be KIDDING ME!"

I was so sure I falied that I simply didn't have the heart to try the pearsonvue "trick" until just hours before my quick results were in. I felt a world of relief when I couldn't proceed to the credit card screen yet I still couldn't shake the worry that I had failed. Well, now I feel kind of silly for worrying so much because I PASSED!

I'm typically pretty cool and calm under pressure but this experience darn near drove me to insanity. For the record, this forum and group was a lifesaver! I can't thank each and every one of you enough for sharing your stories. You guys truly helped me through the most miserable two days of my life.

For everyone who is waiting to test or who are waiting for the results, you're in my prayers!

EnsKat,

CONGRATS ON PASSING!!! When will you be attending Navy OIS? I have been accepted also, but I have to take and pass my NCLEX also (July 31st)

Hi all,

I took my nclex for the first time on June 15th and failed unfortunately. I did not allocate enough time to study and next time I have to study harder.

I am a foreign school graduate and will need to study 4 times more than all of you, guys

Does anyone know what is the best materials for foreign school nurses to properly prepare for nclex? I have no problem with my English vocabulary. The only problem I face if the different curriculum that I need to catch up with.

You all are so luck that you got to study here in US where the schools go through everything that nclex test us on.

Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Congrats to everyone who passed! I heard from a graduate from my school that she took it on Friday and passed. I am feeling a little calmer now that I know someone who was in my classes learning the same material passed.
