I think I failed Nclex in 75 questions

Students NCLEX

I just took my Nclex rn and it was a monster of a test. Used Kaplan & Saunders to prepare but apparently I wasn't prepared enough. I'm super bummed now. Any repeat test takers have any advice?

Why do you think you failed?

Take a deep breath and don't get ahead of the test results. I hope you are wrong and passed. However, if the worst did happen, chalk it up as a learning experience of what did not work. And the advice I would give if you must start to study again is to pick one.strategy/program and buy into it 100%. The programs are the experts, avoid.trying to mash up bits and pieces.

Hopefully, this advice will not be needed and you are just results away from being an RN.

I literally knew nothing on there. Thanks for the encouraging words. I will start to study again Monday if the worst did happen as I feel it did.

Don't count yourself out. Almost everyone walks out of that exam feeling like a failure. I took the NCLEX-PN and got 85 questions, and I was pretty much 100% confident I failed.

Well, I passed!

Hoping for good news for you... Keep us posted!

May I share my experience? I walked in there thinking I would FINISH at 75. Thats how confident I was. Tell me why I saw those questions go from 75...to 100...to 150.. to 200... to yes.. ALLLLLL THE WAY HOME 265. Pretty sure the computer was in love with me and didn't want to let me go. It was a one sided love. I DID NOT plan to be there for 5 hours. I seriously did not know atleast half of the content i was being asked on. Why did i have so many of those "put these order questions?" I thought no body got those. I was flipping out. I kept passing up on my breaks because I kept think nahhh i'll be done soon...but when it finally gave me the last questions and shut off. I was POSITIVE. ABSOLUTELY SURE that I failed. I barely ate for those 48hours after the exam. But you know what. I passed. I was preparing myself today to tell kaplan imma need my money back so i can take the exam again cuz your online review content was not helpful.

Don't flip out. Please dont be like me and starve yourself from the anxiety and nerves. Whatever happens, happens. But seriously, don't let it get to you. You already passed the bigger struggle. Graduating from nursing school.

Thank you donut ball. I am a big ball of nerves right now. I just wish I could know already. What I found so disheartening is that I feel like I didn't know anything that I was being asked. I used my best educated guesses as far as narrowing down the answers. I felt as though the test would shut off at 75 because I was doing so horrendously and sure enough it did. I'll just continue to wait it out, hoping for a miracle.

I absolutely felt the same way... I felt confident about maybe 4 or 5 answers :\

Do the trick it is a very good indicator.

Unfortunately, the trick didn't work for me. So I think it's not that credible anymore. A couple students from my class didn't get the "good pop up" either. But they passed! So I wouldn't just rely on that.

I did the trick, I guess I did it correctly. It took me to the cc screen, I entered info from a prepaid debit card that has about $5 on it, I submitted & then the screen said 'our records indicate that you have scheduled an exam, can't reschedule at this time' or something to that affect. (Can't remember it verbatim), but I was told is not a reliable indicator anymore
