I Need Help! LPN NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

I have been having a hard time passing the LPN NCLEX and am looking for advice. I have studied several books, and tried a tutor. I feel like a failure in life. I have been trying to pass this test since 08/2013.

I feel like I will never pass this test. My last report they sent me in the mail was near all passing in all subjects. Although I did do the PVT and it let me sign up again. So..once again I'm a failure! I don't know what to do anymore I'm just a failure.

First off, don't depend on the PVT. Second, if you did fail again, get the NCLEX Mastery LPN to use to study

How many times have you taken the test?

bschell you are not a failure. You may just have text anxiety. As stated, I hear that NCLEX Mastery is a great book. I was an LVN for 21 years before I became an RN. Back then the test was difficult. I can imagine that it has gotten even harder. Relax, stay focused, and go at it again. Best of luck.

This time was my 9th time. I am so embarrassed and flustered! I study an study an put on my energy and pray and pray I pass and i never do!

Perhaps after 9 fails, it is time to consider that you are not cut out for the field of nursing. You are extraordinarily fortunate that your state allows (apparently) unlimited NCLEX attempts. Other states have much stricter limits and I personally agree with that policy. If you have not been able to pass after 9 rounds of studying & test-taking, it is definitely time to move on to another career choice.

I am sorry if I come across as harsh, but I truly do speak the truth. I personally would not want to receive care from a nurse that required 9+ attempts to pass minimum competency.

You have no way of knowing what OP's issues are, whether knowledge deficit or test (not text, as you say) anxiety. It is not remotely helpful to falsely encourage someone on the Internet who has failed NCLEX 9 times.

Have you tried taking a refresher/remedial class. That could be a great help to you. You may need to find a tutor to figure out where your going wrong. Don't give up

I am not a quitter; and to the people that tell me to move to a different career shame on you because you don't know my life situations. YOU don't know how hard I work for what I want in life. I am not a quitter and I never will be a quitter. I sure am not the only one that has failed so many times. I simply am a bad test taker. I passed the hands on part in my state. I was simply looking for advice on what to do....not to be told to give up on my dreams.

That's right ... There are plenty of threads where people have taken the NCLEX several times and they passed. You got this and let the naysayers be your motivation to go even harder. I pray to sit the NCLEX later this year which will be my fourth attempt. Good luck

I currently work as a MA and am great at what I do! Just because I can't pass a test that doesn't make me a bad nurse. I know my information. I get nervous, have anxiety and get upset and don't pass. Thanks for bringing me down but your words aren't kind at all. I DO well in my job of field.
