I don't know what to think...

Nursing Students NCLEX

I took NCLEX this am and found it to be pretty easy. My director of nursing said that if you walk out of the test feeling like it was easy then you failed! I had 75 questions in 55minutes, no math, tons of priority, no peds (thank God), and some meds (few). I feel kinda numb.......if I failed, wouldn't I get some math questions thrown my way to rescue me? I honestly don't feel like I failed, but it seems the only people who think they fail are those who pass!

Now I have to sit and wait...this sucks. Oh, and I got the last question wrong.

75 questions in 55 minutes?? Wow....I go the other way: stare at the questions forever until I'm behind!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :)

Although the majority of people feel as if they've failed the test, there are a few people who feel good about the test. I don't think that what your DON said is either inspiring or necessarily true.

I've just read this on here, not sure if it's true - the math questions are the lower questions. If you didn't get math that might be a good sign. Also you mentioned that you got a lot of priority questions, also a good sign.

You mentioned that you got the last question wrong. That has no bearing on the outcome of your test.

Best of luck to you! I'm sending good passing vibes your way! :)

A couple girls I know had 75 questions, thought the test was easy, and passed! Good luck!

I had 84 or 85 questions, thought it was easy, and finished in about an hour. Passed on the first try.

Talking to coworkers, overall, it seems like the people who really STUDIED for the boards (read reviews books, took classes) had a harder time and thought it was very difficult...but those who only PRACTICED for the boards (no review at all, just did practice questions) thought it was easier. Strange, but true, at least where I work.

Cardiac,

That is exactly my sitatuation...I did not think the test was hard. I got 75 questions and really sort of giggled through many of the questions once I started getting prioritization and check all that apply. Now, however, I'm worried that i didn't take it seriously enough. It's been 45 hours since I took the test and my results still aren't up at Pearsonvue. My rational mind tells me I did fine, but I still get thoughts creeping into my brain that are irrational. I've been wondering...who else has ever graduated #1 in their class of 56 with a 4.0 gpa and then failed the NCLEX? See what I mean by irrational thoughts? This is not healthy! I am more anxious now than before I took the test...I wasn't even this anxious DURING the test.

OK...thanks for letting me get this down in writing. I'll post again when results are up.

Cardiac, et al,

It's unofficially official...I passed. It came up on the Pearsonvue website at EXACTLY 48 hours.

Good luck to you...I suspect your news will be exactly the same.

Hi Cardiac,

A lot of my friends and past co- workers only had 75 questions and thought it was easy...and passed on first try. It seems to me that I keep running into more people that thought it was easier than hard and they all pass!! Good Luck!
