I took NCLEX this am and found it to be pretty easy. My director of nursing said that if you walk out of the test feeling like it was easy then you failed! I had 75 questions in 55minutes, no math, tons of priority, no peds (thank God), and some meds (few). I feel kinda numb.......if I failed, wouldn't I get some math questions thrown my way to rescue me? I honestly don't feel like I failed, but it seems the only people who think they fail are those who pass!
Now I have to sit and wait...this sucks. Oh, and I got the last question wrong.
And don't forget to go out and dispel all these awful myths about the NCLEX!
Such as "if you get the last one wrong, you've failed the test", and tell you DON (if you can) that you didn't feel the test was that bad. :)
I know that this will give others confidence in test-taking, to a certain extent.
Also, congrats to Mayisontheway... great job!!
Cardiac,
Have you gotten any news yet? I just took mine this morning and feel EXACTLY the same way. I didn't have any math questions, a few drugs, and some priority ones. I felt like I focused on each question thinking.... okay is this a "lower level" question or a higher level one. I got so wrapped up in that way of thinking that I think it has hendered me to the point of failing. I was done in less than an hour also. I feel sick and wish I just knew for sure. I hope you passed. Please post when you know.
Took my NCLEX-RN today. Didn't seem too bad,..it shut off at 75 questions too. Had a bunch of priority questions , but no math at all! And only about 4 select all that apply. Took me about an hr and 15 minutes. Somehow thought it would be harder,...I hope I passed..if I didn't then I must have failed miserably! Got in the 99% for chances of passing the NCLEX for ATI comprehensive exam,.....(not that THAT makes any difference!) I hope, I hope, I hope I passed.
