How long did you wait to take the nclex?

I got my authorization to test on a Monday and tested two days later on a Wednesday.

Six weeks...that was the only available time for the exam.

I had kept up my NCLEX review months before since I had completed all my nursing classes and had to completed two university required courses.

I would do why was best for you; take a mock NCLEX exam and find out if you are ready; if there are areas that you need to focus on then give yourself time to review.

I was grateful for the wait, only because I wanted to be prepared and comfortable enough to take the exam.

4 weeks. I wanted to take it ASAP to get it over with.

For my NCLEX-RN I got my ATT on 5/30, tested on 6/6. Passed. There was a test date for the next day I wanted to take, but I had no one to keep an eye on my daughter for the time frame the test was. For my NCLEX-PN I got my ATT 2 wks after graduation and tested the next day..passed.

We were told by the school all the necessary paperwork would be forwarded to the BON within 14 days of graduation, got it 13 days from graduation. Some of my fellow students didn't get theirs because they had failed to register with PearsonVue and/or the State BON.

We had a two week NCLEX prep class through Kaplan the last two weeks of school. I used Kaplan.

Hi Ladyfree28, I understand that the NCLEX is offered through out the whole year, according to somebody in this forum that answered when I asked the question. Why you have to wait six weeks? Please may you please clarify this for me?

I finished at the end of July but my att didn't arrive until mid August. I applied to test for September 16 but I had to register again since my name on my att did no match the name on my license ( I had two last names on my license) DUMB mistake of mine but I took it Oct. 2 and passed.

I received my ATT as soon as I completed my accelerated courses for my university requirements; I lightly studied for the exam to keep my nursing knowledge fresh since my nursing classes were complete; my paperwork was sent afterwards. Once I paid the fee; I received MY ATT within. 24 hours.

When I wanted to take the test, the amount of dates and seats were full...it happens when an area graduates thousands of students every six months in a given area, and the test areas may have only have a limited number of seats, given that Pearson VUE does proctor other tests; not including NCLEX-RN and PN.

The date wasn't available; several weeks were blocked out due to filled seats; I also had a vacation planned (that week was blocked out as well) so I graduated, in May went on vacation about a week later; came back and took the boards in June and passed. It was worth the wait. :)
