Best NCLEX review book?

  1. 1
Which NCLEX review/study book is the best? Which is your favorite?

I'm pre-nursing for one more semester, but I'd like to get an NCLEX book so that I can use it through nursing school to hopefully help me understand the style of questions.

    Thanks.

Two suggestions. First get Saunders to follow along with your courses, it also is great for content review when studying for NCLEX. Second, I recommend the Davis Success series of books to go with your individual courses (Mental health Sucess, Med- Surge Sucess, etc). I used both through my courses and found them very helpful. Good luck!

While I like Saunders, I think Reviews & Rationales is the best... It is much more thorough and I believe the questions in the CD are harder and make you think much more.

I'd say Saunders for content and Kaplan for strategy. The exam cram books are also good for content. But the NCLEX is not a straight content test its about thinking critically.

Thanks! I will look into these. There's just so many out there I needed some help narrowing it down.

SAUNDERS for sure. If you don't remember much from school it is good for touching up. I also like LaCharity's Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment- makes sense, because for each patient you have to utilize these skills. I also used Kaplan's book. The questions were hard but prepares you well for NCLEX.
