Hi everyone,

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their support. That is the true spirit of nursing. You guys always are so caring and gave me strength these past 4 days, which were torture!!!

The day before NCLEX I actually did kaplans question trainer 7 and did fairly well with a 67. The morning of NCLEX I did 20 qbank questions in order to get in the mood...(but I would recommend relaxing...hehe) I only got 75 questions and I thought they were so easy and assumed I failed...but after 5 days of waiting I found out I passed!!!!

Somehow, I thought Kaplan strategies didn't help, just doing questions and reading the rationales to see what they were actually asking!!! We graduated college and we have the knowledge within us and just have to know how to use it!!!! All of you out there you can do this!!!

If waiting for results...

The number of questions and type of questions have no say in whether you will pass or fail!!!!!!!! I only got 6 SATA and easy questions and passed!!!! Please wait for your results and learn from my experience!!! I couldn't eat and sleep! My anxiety was affecting me and also my family!!! I have a baby and was stuck studying most of the time!!! Enjoy your family...they will love you no matter what! I would recommend using suzannes plan...instead of Hurst and Kaplan who drill so much information into your head!!! Kaplan has a 600 page book!!! Suzanne was very helpful with her comments and knows cramming isn't the way!!! Good luck and thanks everyone...If I can help anyone just email me....

...oh am so proud!!!!

Hi there, First of all Congrats to you!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for the day that i can post that i passed. I will be retaking the test in about a month and am currently using hurst reveiw and kaplan book and i find them helpul. When i answer practice quest i seem to be able to pick the more nclexey answer before getting the kaplan book i was not good at picking the answer they want. Anyway omg did you really think it was easy? Did your questions seem to be more knowledge base quest? or did you have to critically think? I hear so many people say they did not know anything on the entire exam but still pass. I'm so glad to hear from someone that the test was not an absolute beast. My 1st time testing i kind of thought my quest were easy but when i found out i didint pass i assumed i had to have stayed in low-level quest and got a lot of them wrong b/c i only took 75 quest. Do you think with all my hard studying and faith i could go in there and knock this time out the ballpark after not passing the 1st time at 75q? I know you can't predict my success but it helps to know it's possible. Especially wit h you saying your test was fairly easy. Do you think it was easy b/c you studied really hard and things on the test looked familiar to you? Sorry for asking so many questions i just need to pass next time and i need all the knowledge and info i can get. Thanks and CONGRATS AGAIN.

sophisticated49,

I think if you put yur mind to it...you can do it!!! I don't know why I thought it was easy...maybe I studied too much or maybe I already had that knowledge...but doing the kaplan questions do help and maybe the strategies didn't help me but they will help you! Good luck...any more questions ask!!! I will support everyone like they did me!!!!

Hola Clarita!

I am so happy for you. For the last few days you sounded really down. I am glad that you passed. You are an inspirational for some of us who are anxiously waiting to test in coming days. Everything is possible!

Best wishes!

I am so glad to see that you passed. I was feeling your anxiety as well. I was lucky to find out in two days.

I believe that studying with Kaplan helped me pass the test. My school is also considered a hard school and I definitely think that had a lot to do with it as well. I too thought the test was one of the easiest I have had. I had 77 questions, no math, lots of SATA and priority. But, it doesn't really matter what I had cause we all know everyone gets a different test.

All I can say is do questions over and over. That's pretty much what I did and I also made flash cards of things I got wrong on the CD's. I did over 100 questions a day and I did them early in the morning cause I knew my test was at 8 am. I have said in many posts that I used positive affirmations daily, lit candles, told myself every day I am going to pass and the day of the test I was really not stressed at all but looking back I honestly felt like I was dissociating a little bit. It wasn't until I got home that I freaked out. Good luck to all who have to take it and congrats to all who have passed and for those who didn't, keep your chin up and get back to it after a rest.
