Is there a good way to incorporate a tie with scrubs? I've been wearing scrubs for all of my adult life and I really hate them. I am really a fan of the tunic/smock style that male nurses in the... Read More

I wouldn't be caught dead in a tunic lol. Not only is it probably the most hideous thing I've seen in a while, but i think wearing it would cause more confusion as to what you do there haha.

Only Bill Nye the Science Guy can rock a bow tie. I hate scrubs to the 10th degree. I procured a "rare" Landau style that has a button belt loops, and zippered fly, and actually wear a belt and Danner GTX boots with my scrubs. As much as I'd rather wear other clothes, even at risk of getting human excrement on them, a tie would not be something I'd electively wear with business casual much less slacks.

I usually just wear a pocket T with scrub pants...I'd prefer to wear polo shirt with cargo pants...that tunic looks like a denist
    Ever considered 5.11 taclites?

I really like this tunic style, for me I wear a white t shirt that is tucked into to scrub pants with a scrub top on top of it. It's comfortable doesn't show off the chest and looks more professional to me.

I'd be more afraid of some demented or psych patient grabbing the tie and choking me to death with it.

OK - me (old broad) chiming in again with a new idea. Anybody considered ascots? These jaunty accessories could actually be multi-purpose if need be... serving as an emergency towel or absorbent wipe if needed. LOL. I'm really liking the visual, but maybe wouldn't be the same without a pipe.

Unless your facility has a policy specifying scrubs, there really shouldn't be any issue with alternative uniforms whether they are khakis and polos or even the retro tunic with bowtie.
    Go for it!

Unless your scrub top was a print with a tie...I would have to say nope. Sorry!
