  1. Don't you need 1750 hours of critical care at the bedside before you can take the CCRN?
  2. If you're not yet, get your ACLS cert and become a member of the AACN. Do some critical care modules on their website and you'll be armed with a LITTLE more knowledge about what you're trying to get into. It might turn a few heads when you apply
  3. LPN for the two years I was in RN school. nothing that qualified me for this job. I honestly got mega lucky. 5-10 ppl from my class applied this one spot and I got it...
  4. Graduated adn program December 13 and was hired into trauma ICU December 28th....VERY doable.
  5. I'm in my 3rd night of nsg orientation. It's a really really steep learning curve. Just learning about the vents and abg values and how they correlate with each other is taking a lot of time to grasp. I do feel blessed and lucky I was able to do this but understand hesitancy of managers to hire new grads
  6. I'm in 2nd day of general orientation. Take boards tomorrow and pending pass status will continue on to nursing orientation Thursday
  7. Vanderbilt is around there. Top tier hospital/school

Not sure you want to " fake it until you make it" in that situation. Have you taken the ACLS class yet?
  9. RN did LPN at desoto campus
  10. Alright I checked into it briefly. Is there any stipulation that I have to work in the ED for any Amount of time?
  11. Going to google TNCC. Not sure what that is
  12. Thanks for the info! I'm a new grad that's going to start orientation into level 1 trauma ICU so other than do you know of any other material? Maybe specifically for trauma?
  13. DO school without OMM is MD school lol
