Any Curry College or Simmons College Accelerated BSN Students???

U.S.A. Massachusetts

I'm considering these 2 schools and am wondering if there are any current or past students out there of either of these programs??

My questions are:

Curry Students: Approx how much was the program? How about clinical fees? Also - what time of day were your classes?

Simmons Students: How much were your clinical fees? Do you feel that most grads of Simmons are able to find jobs after school? I've heard they are a great program and well liked by area hospitals (i.e. Simmons nurses are in a good position after school to find a job).

Help!!!

I'm in Curry's ACCEL program, graduating in May. Tuition for our cohort (including all fees except $50 for parking and $50 for graduation) came to $35,000.

Spring I classes were Tues/Thurs 9:30a-4:30p, plus a 6wk lab on Wed 9:30-12:20.

Summer semester was Monday 8:30a-4:00p class, T, W, F clinical (7a-4p) for 8 wks.

Fall semester was Monday class 8:30a-5:15p, Tuesday clinical (7a-4p)

Spring II semester is Monday class 8:30a-3:15p, Tuesday clinical (7a-4p).

The class days are long, but it works for most of the people in the program because it allows them to work and pay for minimal childcare. When I looked at the Simmons program, classes were all over the place on several different days, which would have made childcare and work much more difficult for me.

I have really liked Curry's program, but it IS intensive and you WILL work your tail off! That said, they have lots of resources available to help, including a FREE group tutor, and free access to the nursing lab to practice skills, view videos, do practice NCLEX questions, etc.

I'll be there, with bells and bows on! :)

Anyone hear back regarding acceptance to Curry for January 2011 yet? If so, have you decided on going there yet? I've been waitlisted and am curious on if there are any chances for us waitlisters since the class is only 32 total! :D

I've been waitlisted as well :-(

I was told that last year they did not take anyone off the wait list and the year before they took quite a few people off the waitlist so it's really hard for us to get any peace of mind about it! Just gotta wait and see, what else is new! The past few months have felt like an eternity! Waiting waiting waitingggggg

When's the last time you called Curry? They told me they won't know anything about the wait list ppl until May 15th. I'm so curious though!! Anxiously waiting from other schools but want to know about Curry too!! The waiting game really sucks..

Anybody attending Simmons Dix scholar in May-Sept 2011 and graduating 2013?
