Well out here in Phoenix AZ there are 5/35 guys in this 2 yr RN pgm; we just finished the obstetrics rotation and had absolutely NO problems, nowadays at least in this part of the country, nobody even bats an eye that guys are involved in what was historically "female" jobs...... there are moments of awkawrdness during the shave n foley part of the job, but no worries, people just want competent workers.

I just transferred after a year of undergraduate study in Biology to BSN Nursing @ the Northern Caribbean University in Jamaica. Looking forward to all the challenges and experience...Oh! and I think we have only two males in a class of about 80.

I am an LPN of seven yrs. now returning for my RN! I am happy to see more men in the field. I encourage all LPN students to go on to the RN transition program and don't wait! I worked Med Surg for 2.5 yrs and then geriatrics as an agency nurse for about 5 yrs. It was good experience but now that I am back in school I regret not moving on to my RN sooner.

    Hey Guys

I'm a student RN, 26 years old and in my first semester attending school in Nevada. My class is pretty large, a total of 82 students and 21 are male. The class ratio seem good, I mean compared to other schools but then again their are 82 students total. We are slowly coming up in the nursing field. Good to see more males doing nursing.

    Hey guys,

Spent 7 years in the Army, deployed twice, hit some bad times after I got out. Eventually got my act together and managed to complete an EMT-B course. A year of working EMS has convinced me to go for my RN, so I'm working on my pre-reqs right now. Might go for the BSN down the line, but one thing at a time.

Hello men, Father of 2 boys, quit my normal job and decided to go to nursing school. Began about a month ago and the stress begins. I'm enjoying it so far but am a little concerned about the female to male ratio. There are, out of 130 students, 20 males. Highest ratio yet in this college. Check you guys out later.
