[color=sandybrown]you have to consider the type of program that you are going into (private, cc, tech school) and you also have to keep in mind the cost of living in your area. in louisiana $13,000 is really expensive for 16 months of college where as in a place like ca, it may not be that expensive.

My program is actually part of the technology side of the community college and is only 11 months. The above member is right, cost of living plays a large role, as does the type of program/college.

$4500...LPN program, IRSC Florida.

it is a technical college, i really lucked out as all the other colleges in our area charge 15-35k! not to mention this one is a mile from my house & the hours are perfect, they line up so i can drop off & pick up my kids from school. that was a huge concern for me as well.

Specializes in OR, GI, Endoscopy.

35k for my LVN program in bay area, CA - this was last year's price.

It includes books, uniform, and classes only.

2* if u qualify for financial aid than what's the remaining

[color=sandybrown]you are very, very lucky:yeah:to found such a wonderful program like that...congrats for finding a good one like that!!!:)

I wish I could have gone to a CC or Tech program, it's soooo much more reasonable than my private program. But I just couldn't afford to wait on a waiting list, and then the length of the program, I would have been in California way longer then I would like to be now. LOL :lol2:

How long are the waiting lists at the CC & Tech programs in CA? Also how long are their programs? At my school it isn't a very long wait. I waited 1 semester. They also do 2 start dates for the program- Spring & Fall...our course runs 16 months. Just peeked my interest :)
