Charity SON Spring 2014

U.S.A. Louisiana

Published

Hi! I noticed that there were a few people around the forums that were going to apply to Charity for spring of 2014. I was wondering if Charity would accept a HESI score that I took for LSU? LSU was my first choice and now it's Charity. I still plan on getting a BSN, but I'd like to get working as soon as possible. Any advice on the HESI score? I plan on giving them a call, but I'm not exactly sure who I should speak with---or if I can get anyone on the phone.

Sdesselle, congrats on the baby! I have a 3 year old. It will work out. My son goes to the preschool/daycare at Delgado's City Park Campus.

These days are going by soo slowly. I hope the letters go out early this semester.

Congrats on your baby! Such great news... I had a friend who was contemplating dropping out of the Radiologic Technology program midway through because she was expecting. Everyone urged her to hang in there and do her best to complete. Not only did she graduate, but she did with Honors... She kept thinking of how she would be able to provide so much more for her baby with that degree. You pull it from somewhere and just do what you gotta do! Take it from me, I am in my 40's and finally following my dream after raising my children (20 & 17). You can do it!

Hi guys,

First level student here. Classes are Tuesday-Friday. Clinicals are Tuesday & Wednesday. Lecture is Thursday & Friday. Best of luck to everyone who applied. I hope you all get in.

Im not too sure of the cutoff for fall semester and I believe 160 were accepted.. not too sure of the exact number tho. It is a lot of work so if you get accepted make sure you have a plan on what to do with the kids, job, etc.

@jay thank you for that information! I am currently working full time and was wondering how I could work out my schedule. It looks like I might have to go down to part time! I do have another question, I've heard that acceptance letters comes in large envelopes and rejection in a small envelope. I have been freaking out ever since!! I don't want to make anyone else nervous, but do you know if there is any truth to that?? Thanks !

I know that my acceptance letter came in a big packet.

Ok, now you guys got me nervous. I now work monday-friday 9-5 and I have a 6 year old and very needy husband. It sounds like our lives are going to be different for 4 semesters, and there definitely going to be some responsibility shift. I am always a mother first so this has me so nervous

Hi! I too am nervous about fitting everything in with school. I was wanting to ask what the hours for lecture and clinicals are? Thanks!

Y'all I am SSSSOOOOO nervous. I think about it constantly. Is anyone taking A&P2 right now? Also does anyone know if we can wear long sleeves with the uniform? I kinda sorta have a tattoo :(!!

I'm taking A&P II with the lab on the westbank. So far so good there.

I really hope I get in. Also does anyone know if they every have clinicals on Saturdays?

jng7741 OMG I am so nervous now. I hope we all get in. I know now I am going to check the mail with fear now. My family and friends tell me to calm down but it's hard when you don't know what's going on.

You pick the hours that you need for clinical. There are also evening and saturday clinical.Sometimes it changes for the next semester though. Go to the dcc website hit nursing at the bottom side of the page and hit registration information click nursing I and it will show you how our schedules are this semester. Also check the pharmacology tab because you take that also. Hope this helps!
