Hi, I feel like Health & physical Assessment was a different type of workload because of the ATI. Nurse 327 was more traditional like nursing 354. There was 6 quizzes, 2 discussion forums, 1 writing assignment and a 3 part community assessment. The 1st part was a windshield survey that turned into a 2-5 page paper. The 2nd part was a community partner paper that was 2-5 pages . The 3rd part was a powerpoint that was parts 1&2 in powerpoint form. It wasn't bad at all.

What does it consists of? How many papers? Discussion questions? How easy is it compared to the other 4 credit classes like nursing 421?

Does anyone have any information on the nursing 406 Evidence based practice class? I'm finishing up nur327 and it was not difficult at all. I haven't seen too many posts about 406. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

My Nclex experience
Over the past couple of weeks Ive been on this website practically all day. I wanted to know what everyone was doing to prepare for the nclex, about the pct, and just everything. Of course I've read a million (feels like) posts about the "pvt" and why you shouldn't do it, but that is easier said than done. I sat for the nclex about 1 week ago, and it was the most anxious that I had ever been in my entire life. My test started at 8am and I was finished at about 10:45. No, my test didn't cut off at 75 or 100 or 150, it stopped in the 160's :***:. I wanted to puke. I definitely got up from my seat feeling like I failed. I thought that I was an Extra on the Walking Dead how slow I was walking to my car. It was the most numbing experience. So I get home and I don't want to try the "trick" because of everything that Ive read on here. Even after all of that, I still try it. 20 minutes after finishing, BAM I get the good pop up. This eased my mind but, I knew that it wasn't official. At around 5pm the SAME DAY that I took my test my license number was posted on my state's BON website. My question to everyone that says that the exam is scored twice is: How could my license number be posted the SAME DAY ( 9 hours later) if the exam is scored once when you finish and 24 hours after?

Charity school of nursing fall 2014(I got accepted, Now what?)
Well i was on team 3 which is a really good team.. I don't have anything bad to say about the other instructors but i know that i had a really good experience with these teachers As for as parking if i were you i would get the parking at lsu garage because you can use the walkway to get to school. That way you don't have to worry about getting wet or trying to find a parking spot. The only things i use to study are the notes they gave us and the book. I would also tell you to just take everything you hear with a grain of salt. Everyones experience in nursing school is different. Remember you got accepted into school so you will be able to pass and graduate. The only thing thats different is the way they ask the questions. After your first test you will have a better understanding of these things. Please make sure that you stay organized! You have to be! and congrats on getting in!

Well thats good! I would say to not let orientation scare you because what i noticed my first semester was that its not that bad! If you pay attention and study than you will do fine. Your pharm class is going to be your life saver. Everyone makes A's or a really high B in Pharm! You will do fine, and make sure that if you don't understand something, by the time you leave class.. you understand it!

So how do you all feel about orientation?

Charity SON Spring 2014
I didn't but I knew a couple of people who did and let me tell you they were stressed out. They could never stay late or come to school for a presentation with the teacher. Like if we had a check off for a skill and the teacher was free on a monday to help us they couldn't come because they had to work. Now if you have to work I'm sure you will be able to pass but you are going to have to work so much harder because you won't have as much time to study.. (This is just from my experience)
