I am due to have a job interview for a hospital in the US that my agency sourced for me.Assuming I get the job then my agency will apply for a EB3 visa and Green Card for me and I wondered what other people's experiences are in the same situation. Whether you've been through it or are going through it now.I would love to hear tips, helpful hints and also everything that went wrong. It would help to know what to watch for.

Thanks everyone.

I have not been keeping an eye on the posts but I can see you have steadily made real progress in you journey to the US. I have so far jumped the CES report hoop successfully. I am a U.K nurse too attempting to move to US. I really want to hear the conclusion of that win-win compromise you made with Assignment America. Is that interview going to be online or your will be needed to go across the pond? May be a PM discussion would be useful or we can keep it here for the benefit of others. Your case is looking up and will shine hope on many of us on the same journey. Thanks

As far as I understood what the Liaison said , the interview will be a video call. I'm so nervous but elated that things are moving. I'll let you know what the outcome of the job interview is. If successful then the immigration journey begins, although I have already applied for my Visa Screen Certificate.

Thanks for your posts unfortunately l can not reply the private one as rules state l need 15 topics etc first before l can message any one in Private. We can carry on here until l meet their criteria:) Great to hear you are moving forwards. Did you do you NCLEX on you own before joining Assignment America?

I did the NCLEX on my own. I used Saunders and uWorld. uWorld in particular was very good for me. What stage are you at right now?

I'm an RN from northern Europe. I recently received a denial on my I-140 and I'm now waiting to refile in a couple of weeks, this time with premium processing. I'll interview for jobs as soon as I get my visa exit interview scheduled. So far I don't even know the state I'll be assigned to. Interesting to notice that your agency has this job interview and visa process the other way round. Anyway, I hope you succeed in your interview and can begin the immigration process! My tip? Don't get frustrated with waiting.

Patience is the name of the game. Yes you're right, the agencies do work differently. We just want to get to the US, so whatever works. I hope they approve your I-140 this time. Good luck. Let us know how it goes. I'll do the same.

I am at the stage of Applying to the BON I should probably start revising for NCLEX in a serious way. I want a first pass which am sure is attainable if you have experience and you revise well given you are faced with multiple choice questions. How long did it take you to revise for NCLEX?

Remember that the NCLEX is aimed at new grads so do not over think the question and when doing practice questions read the rationale as it will help to look for the keywords

I just worked my way through the uWorld question bank, it was tough. It took me about a month to do all of them. The rationales help. You just need to be ready to study whichever way you find most helpful to you. Don't give up and just power through...believe me you'll want to give up ... Just answer like a new nurse, ignore everything you've learned over the years, like Silverdragon said.

Thanks for your words of encouragement!. Is Uworld an online course? Regarding you contract be sure you double check it before you sign. I will share with you my dealings with them in private once I can access it hopefully soon!

Did you appy for NCLEX through the state of Texas? which State did you go through?
