Yep, apparently he did exactly that. Joan Rivers was not my favorite celebrity by far, but she was funny. How sad for her that she couldn't get past being a celebrity and just get treated like a human being, especially by people who are supposed to know better.

I'm wondering why the "source" didn't just go ahead and identify the doctor. In all these anonymous reports, this doctor's name has been conspicuously absent. In one of the reports, supposedly from a clinic employee, it was said that everyone thought this doctor was her "makeup artist." WTH?!!? Why would her make up artist need to be present, and what about this person led people to believe he was a makeup artist rather than personal physician. Very bizarre situation indeed.

We need to keep in mind that as of now, all of these allegations from anonymous sources "close to the investigation" are completely unverified. If they turn out to be true, this doctor and many at that clinic will be toast.

Dr. Cohen is not currently performing procedures at Yorkville Endoscopy, nor is he currently serving as medical director,” said a spokesperson from the clinic. Question for the experts: is it reasonable to assume that the "source" is committing a rather serious HIPAA violation by sharing this information? I would think the only person who could know what went on would be an employee of Yorkville Endoscopy, and therefore obliged to keep info about patients private. Am I correct?

And if I am correct, does the fact that this "source" is gleefully violating HIPAA, and perhaps being compensated for this violation, make the info he or she provides less credible?

BTW, according to the Daily News, "he" is a she.

And speaking of HIPAA, what about all those photos on her wall? Presumably celebrities. I wonder if she has a signed release to use them.

I'm sure everyone knows this, but the Daily News does not have a reputation for accuracy. Regarding the selfie, I am more inclined to roll my eyes than clutch my pearls.
