    Great job peeps!

I'm doing o.k. with my eating, other than the a New Years Eve party.

The meditation is slow going. I seem to be a bit restless when I sit and my dogs thank that's snuggle/play time. But I'm working on it.

ert, my parents love to garden. My mom calls it "my therapy".

    5 lbs is great, er!

I hope to get a garden started this year, too. I'm hoping to grow lots of veggies, but I'm totally new at gardening, so we'll see how it goes.

I lost another pound so far. Slowly but surely...

    w00t BBF! Keep it up.

I'm still eating realtively well, but grapped a few chips that a coworker was eating. But it didn't turn into a binge. Sometimes when I miseat, I'll throw it all away in frustration for the day.

i made myself a ny's resolution, to eat nothing but healthy.
these past few days, i've been living on flavored waters and clementine oranges.
when i got home from work this a.m., i ate half a can of choc frosting that was in my fridge.
it's too easy, to say "to heck with it" and stuff your face the rest of the day.
    but i didn't.
i'm bringing strawberries to work tonight.

    Hi Leslie!!

Half the battle is just not having it in the house. The other half is not to turn right or left after getting out of work, lol...

well, you see, that was my logic:
that the frosting had been in my fridge for a week, and i had to get rid of it.
    now it's gone.

    it was really good.

Maybe you can replace it with some of that fat free hot fudge sauce? :spin:

I have a friend that only eats food that has seeds in it. That's his only dietary rule, and he does yoga every morning for exercise. He's really fit & trim. I think he's on to something there!

i probably have horrific eating habits.
i just don't know where to start, or how to begin eating "healthy".
    i have never eaten meals.
    never.
i eat tons of fruit, and drink loads of water.
    don't like veggies, except salads.
    i'm not overweight.
i do work out (lift weights) but i'm a heavy smoker and i have too many processed foods.
my body is feeling sluggish and unmotivated.
    plus, it's 49.
i don't know if it's my mind or body, but i'm craving 'health'.
the book tweety mentioned, "the spectrum" sounds intriguing.
i read the synopsis on amazon.
so, i lurk in this forum daily, not knowing what to say or where to begin.
all i know, is i am sick to death of processed, salty, fatty, sugary, hi-cal, empty nutrient foods that deplete the life out of you.
should i eat an american diet?
i don't think so, acknowledging what america looks like.
    anyone, please.
i want to incorporate a lifestyle.
this is not about diet, but a way of living.
maybe i'll just continue to read this forum, until i have something more concrete to contribute.
    thanks for listening.

    DEFINITELY not an "American" diet.

It's funny, since I have been eating sweets and flour again these past two weeks, how much my body hurts again - getting out of bed walking around, etc... the body knows (said w/ eyebrows wiggling). I feel all bloated too - I'm sure I have regained some lb.
