Part IV
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
I hear you, Tweety- I have to get back into the Yoga, myself. I noticed such a difference in my posture, mood, and digestion when I was doing it regularly. Yoga is so underrated.
I recently took up knitting, and find it to be very relaxing and zen-like. I highly suggest it for those who need stress relief, and want to be creative while doing it. I admire anyone who has the patience to meditate!
Hi Zoe,
Thanks for the support.
Hi Tweety,
I went to take a look at the book. Couldn't get a really good look, time for the bedtime stories.
Hi Baptized by Fire,
Yes, I understand the difficulty of meditation. I have to admit, I do sleep better, after reading my Bible and thinking about the passages. For me this is meditation. However, I too have gotten out of the habit, which is probably one of the reasons that I'm not sleeping as well as now days. But like all things, that too can change.
Do you like meditating? If you do, a few moments each day will build into a longer time.
Happy New year everyone.
Food habits weren't perfect but still better than before, IMHO. My body feel's different in my scrub pants but not in my dress slacks. I'm gonna just keep at it. Indoor garden struggling. I don't think Asian peas like being in the same pot with carrots. Asian peas and basil seem to be okay together. Ds2's cosmo flowers haven't bloomed yet but the stems are nice and green. The stems and leaves for the Forget-Me-Nots are also nice and green. Hubby likes the garden even if it is in the house.
Dh is great. He anchored the kids' bookcases to the wall so that we could use them. I'm very excited. And their books look great on their shelves.
No pets yet. I'm so tired, maybe a guinea pig would be better than starting with a dog. I'm not to sure what to do about this one. Time will tell though.
Off to bedtime story land. Working in the morning.
Howdy Everyone
Sounds like everyone is doing good, especially with the holidays just behind us.
Officially weigh in in two weeks, but according to the scales at work I have lost another five pounds.....which I'll take right now
Meditation is wonderful, I just forget to take the time on a regular basis for it.
We are planning out our garden for this spring. We have to garden above ground because we sit on rock.....so we are being conservative with what we plant....have to build boxes, bring in soil, etc.....then run the risk of the deer eating it.
Once again, Congrats everyone
i made myself a ny's resolution, to eat nothing but healthy.
these past few days, i've been living on flavored waters and clementine oranges.
when i got home from work this a.m., i ate half a can of choc frosting that was in my fridge.
it's too easy, to say "to heck with it" and stuff your face the rest of the day.
but i didn't.
i'm bringing strawberries to work tonight.

Hi Leslie!!
Half the battle is just not having it in the house. The other half is not to turn right or left after getting out of work, lol...
