Salary for RN's working in Nursing Home

Specialties Geriatric

Published

Hello everyone. I was just wondering what is the base pay of nurses working in the nursing home? I'm a BSN-RN with 2 years of experience in the hospital. Anyone here from Texas? Please let me know. Thanks

To keep things in perspective, remember that one is getting experience and pay, something the individual who has not received a job offer is not getting.

When I went to work at the hospital, I was making $10.87 on 3-11. That was in the early '80s.
$10.87/hr in 1983 would be equal to approximately $25.04 hourly in 2014 dollars.

I know a few LVN's working for a Trisun LTC making 19.00 per hr in the Richardson/Plano area. I didn't ask what RN's were paid there.

They gave me an offer of $24 here. I bet that's too low. Thanks for letting me know tho

It really depends on location. I've heard some areas where $19/hour is normal.

LVN ADONs was making 24-25hr in LTCs in Jasper, Texas
