I'm being "stalked" by the janitor!

:uhoh3: I have worked in many LTC facilities. It seems that I am always being "stalked" no matter which LTC I work in. It seems that everytime I do a "med pass" I am constantly being followed by a man with a wet mop in his hands. The med pass itself is difficult enough. I then have to worry about slipping on the wet floor and breaking my neck too. I am wondering if anyone else is being "stalked" by their janitor?

I *wish* the housekeeper at the hospital was stalking me with her mop - at least then she'd be mopping! ;)

rofl ratched.......

not to knock all housekeepers, however. Ours do work very hard!

:chuckle Thanks all for your messages. I guess I should be thankful that at least this janitor always puts up a yellow warning sign when he mops. At a job I had many years ago the janitor would mop and never leave any kind of warning sign. I almost slipped 3-4 times at that other job. Yes I guess I could ask him to quit following me on my med passes.

Search on the internet for "Shoes for Crews"! They make economincal and stylish no~slip footwear. You cannot slip and fall with these shoes on! Our dining services staff wears them. They even do a payroll deduction for staff to purchase them, but they are really very reasonably priced!

On the other hand, what about risk management?:uhoh21:

I used to stalk pretty young housekeepers myself. Of course, being tall and handsome with a boyish look helps alot with the females he-he....okay, I'm full of it! But I've had relationships with housekeepers and nurses many times.

I just now started working night shifts. Now I have a "new stalker." He spent 4-5 hours stripping the floor and then waxing it right in the area where I needed to work last night. He used all these god-awful smelling chemicals. The residents were angry and complaining about the smell.

I can only imagine. We went thru that before JCAHO....we all went home with headaches, migraines and nauseous. Funny how it's ok for the nightshift to have to deal with this all the time....sigh.
