That was great, I wish I had read something like that when I was in nursing school! Here is one of my favorite nursing poems, and it almost seems like the sequel to the one you posted:
Being a Nurse Means . . .
You will never be bored.
You will always be frustrated.
You will be surrounded by challenges.
So much to do and so little time.
You will carry immense responsibility
and very little authority.
You will step into people's lives
and you will make a diference.
Some will bless you.
Some will curse you.
You will see people at their worst -
and at their best.
You will never cease to be amazed
at people's capacity for love, courage, endurance.
You will see life begin - and end.
You will experience resounding triumphs
and devastating failures.
You will cry a lot.
You will laught a lot.
You will know what it is to be human
and to be humane.

Hi All,I found this on another site. I though everyone might enjoy it.

You will be mentally stressed. You will be emotionally challenged. You will learn how to work together. You will learn to work alone.
You will learn when to speak. You will learn when to be silent.
You will learn when to lead. You will learn when to follow.
You will be constructively criticized. You will be praised.
You will shed a few tears. You will share in each other's laughter.
You will learn the need to help eachother. You will learn to help yourself.
You will learn to be part of a group. You will learn to be yourself--an individual.
You will learn responsibility. You will learn disipline.
You will learn these things because someday someone's life will depend on you.
You are a nursing student you will graduate------
You will be, in all it's wonder and glory,
a Nurse.
OMG! I so loved this! Thank you for sharing this great find!
