Ok, just curious what classes that you have been required to take that just make you ask WHY? I am taking American Government right now and I am so bored. And if I get one more person ask me why I am taking this for nursing I am going to scream? My answer is I guess they want me to know how to be politically correct, lol. Ok, so what's your thoughts.

Nursing History.................snooozzzeee!

Specializes in Critical Care.

PE, a complete waste of time and money

Philosophy....Oh how I hate Aristotle and Plato.

I would have to go with Algebra too...haven't taken college algebra yet but other lower algebra classes....have to have it for BSN and I totally dread it. I CAN'T GET IT!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!

Sociology and Public Speaking.....why, Why, WHY????

Dull, stupid and of NO use!!!

I just started back studying again to get my RN degree...Doing it the indepentent study program using Rue Ed Publishers and Excelsior...It seems most of the subjects that are required seem dumb to me...I've been there done that all before...(grin)

I'd have to say "Success & Study Skills"...

It sounds good...but was very boring. It focused on goal setting...

If I didn't have any goals...I wouldn't have taken that class, now would I?

PVR....Personal Vocational Relationships...where we learned all about the history of nursing. Of which I remember jack crap...who was dorthea dix again?

Drawing 101, a humanities credit, and a P.E. class called "Adaptive Nursing".

Adaptive Nursing consisted of a bunch of nursing students sitting on their butts for two hrs and complaining. We all got an "A" just for showing up. We never did one single assignment.

A total waste of time and $$.

PE! isn't that physical education?!!

Specializes in Adult Med-Surg, Rehab, and Ambulatory Care.

Here's a doozy LOL- when I was in college the first time and my major was Nutrition (which was under the Home Economics Department - why I don't know but anyway...) we HAD to take a class called

Household Equipment

yes we HAD to take a class about washers/dryers/ovens/etc  I sure hope that is out of the ciriculum by now (I graduated in 1987)
